Patent number: 11577028Abstract: Disclosed is a syringe for a micro-dosing syringe pump. The syringe includes a reservoir having an outlet port; a plunger having a track, with the plunger received inside a portion of the reservoir; a plunger driver comprising a gear connected to one end of a shaft and a pin located adjacent an opposite end of the shaft, with the plunger driver received inside the plunger and with the pin located inside and engaging the track. In use, rotation of the gear in a first direction advances the plunger into the reservoir a first distance as the pin travels in the track and rotation of the gear in a second direction opposite the first direction advances the plunger a further distance into the reservoir as the pin travels in the track. The design prevents excess dosing in a runaway motor failure.Type: GrantFiled: January 20, 2021Date of Patent: February 14, 2023Assignee: Becton, Dickinson and CompanyInventors: Nicholas Anderson, Andrew Beaupre

Patent number: 9438646Abstract: A method, apparatus, system, and computer program product display information about selected content in a social network. Multiple icons representative of content are displayed. Via input from a user, an item of the content is selected by selecting one of the multiple icons. In response to the selecting, a tooltip is displayed. The tooltip includes relevant information about the selected item and affinity data that provides a probability of similar interests between the user and the selected item.Type: GrantFiled: September 24, 2013Date of Patent: September 6, 2016Assignee: MYSPACE, LLCInventors: Michael Scott Andler, James Andrew Beaupre, Eric Juhyun Kim, Thomas Barraud Werz, III, Kyle R. Publication number: 20140108386Abstract: A method, apparatus, system, and computer program product provide an affinity between a first entity and a second entity on a social network. First affinity data for a first entity is determined. The first affinity data is first behavioral data and first categorical data. Second affinity data for the second entity is determined. The second affinity data is second behavioral data and second categorical data. The first affinity data is compared to the second affinity data resulting in an affinity score. The affinity score identifies a probability of similar interests between the first entity and the second entity based on behavioral similarities between the first behavioral data and the second behavioral data, and categorical similarities between the first categorical data and the second categorical data. The affinity score is then provided to the first entity.Type: ApplicationFiled: October 11, 2013Publication date: April 17, 2014Applicant: MYSPACE, LLCInventors: Michael Scott Andler, James Andrew Beaupre, Eric Juhyun Kim, Thomas Barraud Werz, III, Kyle R. Publication number: 20140025688Abstract: A method, apparatus, system, and computer program product for displaying top fan status information relating to selected content in a social network. An item of content is selected in a social network application. An engagement score is determined for each of one or more first users. Each engagement score is based on interactions of each of the one or more first users with the selected item of content. A subset of the one or more first users that has interacted with the item of social content the most is identified and displayed.Type: ApplicationFiled: September 24, 2013Publication date: January 23, 2014Applicant: MYSPACE, LLCInventors: Michael Scott Andler, Thomas Barraud Werz, III, Eric Juhyun Kim, James Andrew Beaupre, Timothy Charles Vanderhook

Publication number: 20130268523Abstract: A method, system, apparatus, and computer program product provides the ability to determine the influence of a user or resource within a pre-defined context. A pre-defined context of activities is provided/defined. Point values are assigned to all activities that may occur within the pre-defined context. All activities for a single user or resource within the pre-defined context are tracked over a period of time. A score value for each activity for the single user or resource within the pre-defined context over a period of time is determined. A raw score is calculated for the single user or resource according to the total of all determined score values. The raw score value is normalized against scores of a population of other users or resources within the pre-determined context to provide a comparative scoring for users or resources.Type: ApplicationFiled: April 8, 2013Publication date: October 10, 2013Applicant: MySpace LLCInventors: Michael Scott Andler, James Andrew Beaupre, Eric J. Publication number: 20130268543Abstract: A method, system, apparatus, and computer program product provide the ability to recommend content to a particular user. Two content recommendation techniques are implemented and generated different content recommendation scores that are relative to a particular piece of content and the particular user. The two scores are reconciled to generate an overall content recommendation score for the particular piece of content and the particular user.Type: ApplicationFiled: April 8, 2013Publication date: October 10, 2013Applicant: MySpace LLCInventors: Michael Scott Andler, James Andrew Beaupre, Eric J.
