  • Patent number: 10248973
Abstract: Approaches for collaborative advertising bidding comprise receiving, from an ad exchange, a bid request for an advertisement space for a viewing user. The approaches further comprise retrieving logged data associated with the viewing user, the logged data corresponding to the viewing user's online exposure to web content including at least one of commercial webpages, online representations of services or products having purchase information, and advertisements. A first advertiser and a second advertiser who have entered into an advertising collaborating relationship to respond to bid requests are identified. A determination is made as to whether a portion of the retrieved logged data for the viewing user is associated with the first advertiser or with the second advertiser. Additionally, based on the determining, one of the first advertiser and the second advertiser is selected to submit a bid for the advertisement space in response to the bid request.

  • Publication number: 20050110788
Abstract: A computer program product for image manipulation of a source data set, the product being operable to: load a source data set, for example of voxel data, for image manipulation by the computer program product; generate and display image data of the source data set by allowing interactive user adjustment of a plurality of operational state conditions; and store the image data of a currently displayed image together with operational state data corresponding to at least a subset of its current operational state conditions in a standard image data format, such as DICOM. Storing operational state data with the image data allows a user later to reload the image data and return the computer program's other important configuration settings, so that a user can seamlessly continue with an interrupted session, either on the same workstation, or on a different workstation at a remote location.

  • Publication number: 20050017972
Abstract: A computer automated method that applies supervised pattern recognition to classify whether voxels in a medical image data set correspond to a tissue type of interest is described. The method comprises a user identifying examples of voxels which correspond to the tissue type of interest and examples of voxels which do not. Characterizing parameters, such as voxel value, local averages and local standard deviations of voxel value are then computed for the identified example voxels. From these characterizing parameters, one or more distinguishing parameters are identified. The distinguishing parameter are those parameters having values which depend on whether or not the voxel with which they are associated corresponds to the tissue type of interest. The distinguishing parameters are then computed for other voxels in the medical image data set, and these voxels are classified on the basis of the value of their distinguishing parameters.

  • Patent number: 6574730
Abstract: An authentication system of a terminal on a public switched telephone network provides a security node associated with a local exchange and a network terminal. For one-way authentication, the terminal responds to a call initiation by sending a unique authentication code comprising a number and a secret key encrypted according to a first algorithm, the secret key being specific to the terminal. The security node constructs the expected authentication code from the number, using the first algorithm and a second key which is a function of a terminal identification number, and compares the expected code with the received code. In two-way authentication, the security node responds to the call initiation by sending a transaction number to the terminal encrypted according to a second algorithm. The terminal generates the authentication code as a function of the first algorithm, the secret key and the transaction number. The authentication code is sent back to the security node.
