Abstract: A user interface is provided for sorting a plurality of data records. The user interface includes a data display region for displaying the plurality of data records as a plurality of data columns. Also, a sort control region includes a plurality of sort control bars aligned with the plurality of data columns, each sort control bar providing sorting of a data column in accordance with a sort priority selected by a user, and providing a visual indication of the sort priority and direction of a respective data column. The invention elegantly enables a user to sort multiple columns of data by simply clicking near the top or bottom of each column to establish at least first and second sort keys, as well as a sort direction for each sorted column. The sort priority and sort direction for each column is visually indicated near the top or bottom of each column.

Abstract: A monitoring system for monitoring the typical response time required to execute a command at a desired remote site, e.g. a website. The monitoring system includes a mechanism for synchronizing the real-time internal clock at both the administrative node and the transaction node. Once both real-time internal clocks are synchronized, a synthetic transaction is generated by the administrative node and sent to the transaction node. The instant at which the command is sent is recorded by the administrative node. The command is received by the transaction node and each important step involved in executing the command is recorded with a time stamp information. Once the command has been completed, the results of the synthetic command, e.g. the requested data, drawing(s), diagram(s) or information, are sent to the administrative node along with the time stamp information indicating the elapsed time for executing each important step of the synthetic transaction.

Abstract: The present invention is directed to an accessory that can be used to remotely indicate the status of a lock key or lock keys located on the conventional computer keyboard. It is designed to be used with the conventional computer keyboard that has one or more lock keys and indicator lights located on the keyboard itself. The accessory comprises a keyboard cable connecting the computer and keyboard, intercepted by a junction, a remote visual indicator, having one end connected to the junction and one end having an LED indicator for positioning in a location remote from the keyboard, a hardware signature analyzer or some other means in the junction for detecting the condition of the lock key, and a power supply in the junction for powering the remote visual indicator to indicate the condition of the lock key.
