  • Patent number: 12180931
Abstract: An exemplary system for determining an operating condition for a wind turbine having a rotor, generator, and gearbox, includes a plurality of sensors mounted within the nacelle of the wind turbine. The system also includes a pair proximity sensors are mounted adjacent to the rotor for measuring rotor displacement. A first processor is connected to receive sensor data from the pair of proximity sensors and is configured to partition the received sensor data into predefined datasets, and a second processor configured to format the predefined datasets for transmission over a network to a processing computer.

  • Patent number: 10484427
Abstract: In embodiments, methods and systems for implementing configuration management are provided. A configuration management system facilitates processing and preserving configurations associated with a software infrastructure. The software infrastructure operates as a co-located environment, high availability environment, disaster recovery environment or migration environment. The configuration management system specifically maintains implementation of firewall configurations for a source computing environment and a destination computing environment. The source computing environment communicates with the destination computing environment using a communication channel via an untrusted network. The configuration management system includes a leader component that accesses the firewall configurations, from the source computing environment, transforms the firewall configurations to a transformed version and communicates the transformed version to the destination computing environment.

  • Patent number: 9982521
Abstract: A computer-implemented method for configuring operating conditions for at least one of desalination equipment and fluid injection equipment to be used in a low salinity waterflood on a hydrocarbon-bearing reservoir is provided. The reservoir is penetrable by an injection well and a production well. The method comprises deriving an ion diffusion distance value from: a diffusion coefficient indicative of a rate of diffusion of ions through relatively permeable layers of the reservoir when the low salinity water is present therein; and a residence time value indicative of the time required for the low salinity water to pass from the injection well to the production well through the reservoir; comparing the thickness of the relatively permeable layers to the derived ion diffusion distance value; generating an indication of the effectiveness of performing a low salinity waterflood; and configuring said operating conditions based on the indication of the effectiveness.

  • Publication number: 20140290942
Abstract: Methods, apparatuses and computer readable instructions for determining the effectiveness of, and for performing, a low salinity waterflood. An ion diffusion distance value is determined based on the rate of diffusion of ions within the rock of a reservoir and the residency time of floodwater within the reservoir. The thickness of the layers of the reservoir are compared to this ion diffusion value to determine the effectiveness of performing a low salinity waterflood and also to enable the effective control of a waterflood and to assist in the determination of locations of wells.

  • Publication number: 20070271826
Abstract: An insole for a shoe is provided, having a display surface, preferably disposed on an insert, for the display of information when the insole is in place in a shoe. A shoe, for example a sports shoe, is also provided having a receiver disposed on its external surface. The receiver retains an insert having a display surface, visible when the shoe is being worn and adapted for the display of information. The display surface may carry a brand or other design and/or emit light or sound by means of a suitable emission device. An accessory for a shoe comprises a mount for securing to a shoe, the mount having a display surface adapted to be visible when the shoe is being worn. The mount preferably holds an insert of the kind mentioned above.
