  • Patent number: 11660224
Abstract: An orthopedic field splint and system and method for use of the same are disclosed. In one embodiment of the orthopedic field splint, a body has flexion and extension movement parallel to a longitudinal axis between a horizontal axial plane and a rolled sleeve. A coupling member is hingedly connected to the body in overlapping releasable engagement in a closed retracted position and extending beyond the body in an open extended position. A receiving pocket is connected to the body. The receiving pocket and the coupling member having mutually completing mating forms. Multiple sleeves extend longitudinally through the body and each of the sleeves is parallel to the longitudinal axis and configured to accept a rigid slat.

  • Patent number: 10399632
Abstract: An adjustable rear wheel hood system has a movable hood, so to be longitudinally adjusted to accommodate shrinking wheels (due to wear), or other requirements. A longitudinal slot is aligned between the rear wheel hood and the deck, and after adjusting the hood-to-rear wheel separation to a desired amount, the hood is secured to the deck via a shaped protuberance and securing mechanism, preventing lateral movement of the hood.

  • Patent number: 9783260
Abstract: An adjustable rear wheel hood system has a movable hood, so to be longitudinally adjusted to accommodate shrinking wheels (due to wear), or other requirements. A longitudinal slot is aligned between the rear wheel hood and the deck, and after adjusting the hood-to-rear wheel separation to a desired amount, the hood is secured to the deck. Either the deck or hood is configured with the slot, while the other piece has holes and/or alignment features that align the pieces together, provide a way to secure the pieces together, and also prevent lateral movement of the hood. A similarly configured adjustable non-braking rear hood is described.

  • Publication number: 20130062847
Abstract: An interlocking neck and deck system for scooters includes an elongate deck having a front end with a longitudinal neck-receiving slot with a first profile and at least one lateral locking member receiver. A removable and interchangeable neck is engageable with the deck. The neck includes a lower mounting portion with a second profile complementary to the first profile of the neck-receiving slot and at least one lateral locking member receiver complementary to the at least one lateral locking member receiver of the deck. The neck also includes an upper stem-receiving portion comprising a bore. At least one lateral locking member is engageable with the lateral locking member receivers of the deck and neck when the removable neck is mated with the longitudinal neck-receiving slot of the deck.

  • Publication number: 20120061931
Abstract: A fender brake assembly for a rear wheel of a scooter includes a bracket having a top plate adapted to be removably secured to a scooter deck plate proximate the rear wheel, and a pair of opposite side plates extending transversely therefrom, with the side plates each being adapted to support respective ends of a hinge pin to extend between the side plates and forward of the front edge of the top plate. A fender brake is pivotably mounted on the hinge pin, and a biasing member, such as a torsion spring, biases the fender brake toward a rest position, such as one in which an engagement surface thereof is spaced from a rear wheel surface. The fender brake assembly may be removably secured, as a unit, to the deck plate. A resilient riser may be disposed between the bracket and the deck plate.

  • Publication number: 20060212373
Abstract: The present invention discloses a method of establishing an internal control framework that ensures accurate financial reporting as required by the Sarbanes-Oxlet Act of 2002. The method provided utilizes the established business processes to identify risks, determine the necessary controls to be implemented to mitigate these risks in order to ensure that financial assertions, and as a result, accounts, are accurate. Following this process thereby reduces costs associated with audits and compliance with the new accounting rules when compared to other publicly known methods of compliance.
