Abstract: A system and method are provided to include indicators on a website or within an application or publication to indicate a level of openness and level of independence for a review. The system may provide interaction with one or more online interfaces, such as pages provided by a website. The method may include analyzing the reviews; analyzing a level of independence indicative of influence on the review by a creator; analyzing a level of openness indicative of availability of the reviews to a third party user; calculating the transparency using the level of independence and the level of openness; and displaying the transparency as the indicator via the interface. The system and method may relate to an online marketplace.
