  • Patent number: 10267060
Abstract: A latch indication assembly includes a latch and an indicator assembly. The latch is movable between a locked position and an unlocked position, and is configured to secure a fan cowl of an aircraft. The indicator assembly is operably coupled to the latch, and includes an indicator movable between an open position and a closed position responsive to movement of the latch. The indicator extends from an exterior of the fan cowl when in the open position, and is visible from an exterior position proximate at least one of a side or an underside of the aircraft when in the open position. The indicator assembly extends to the open position when the latch is in the unlocked position, and is configured to be retractable to the closed position when the latch is in the locked position.

  • Patent number: 9211955
Abstract: Methods and apparatus for supporting engines and nacelles relative to aircraft wings are disclosed. An example apparatus includes a first support structure to be coupled to a wing, a second support structure to be coupled to the wing and a nacelle. The support structures are coupled to opposite sides of the nacelle. The support structures are to be coupled to opposite sides of an engine to enable thrust loads to be reacted through the support structures to the wing.

  • Patent number: 5413456
Abstract: Isogrid structure (20) forms case (14) surrounding the fan blades. In the zones where blade penetration is anticipated, the ribs (38) of the lattice do not run circumferentially. The skin segments (48) are of different thickness in different zones, but do not differ more than 30% from the thickness of an adjoining segment.

  • Patent number: 5409349
Abstract: Isogrid structure (20) forms case (14) surrounding the fan blades (12) of the turbofan. A ballistic fabric (22) surrounds the case. Containment zones (30, 32, 34) at the forward end have isogrid ribs (38) extending other than circumferentially. In the rear support zone ribs (76) extend circumferentially stiffening the case against collapse.
