  • Publication number: 20140122210
Abstract: A method of verifying the authenticity of an electronic coupon is described. The method includes transmitting the electronic coupon to a mobile device of a consumer and verifying the authenticity of the electronic coupon. The electronic coupon includes an image with one or more visual elements for display on the mobile device at least one of which is capable of moving when activated by a user of the electronic device. Observation of the movement of the moving visual element after activation confirms the authenticity of the electronic coupon. A computer readable medium comprising instructions to manipulate a processor is also described. The medium includes instructions to send display data for an electronic coupon image including one or more visual elements as described above to a mobile device of a consumer and instructions to activate the moving visual element when an input is received from a user of the mobile device.

  • Patent number: 5981025
Abstract: A composite web structure utilizing a thin first layer of material having a plurality of structural fibers arranged to lie essentially in a unidirectional orientation. A thin second layer of material is positioned adjacent the first layer and includes a plurality of structural fibers. First and second layers are impregnated with a matrix material for binding fibers within the first and second layers and for binding the first and second layers together. The web may be formed into a composite structure such as a honeycomb core for fabrication into a panel.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: March 5, 1998
Date of Patent: November 9, 1999
    Assignee: Specialty Cellular Products Company

  • Patent number: 4627791
Abstract: A propeller blade made of an advanced composite of uniaxial fibers laminated in crossplies to take advantage of their high axial strength. The thinness and strength of the plies are exploited in assembling the plies at various orientations to produce propeller blades which respond to changing aerodynamic loads in the complex ways necessary to maintain an optimum shape.
