  • Patent number: 7783648
Abstract: A partitioning system that provides a fast, simple and flexible method for partitioning a dataset. The process, executed within a computer system, retrieves product and sales data from a data store. Data items are selected and sorted by a data attribute of interest to a user and a distribution curve is determined for the selected data and data attribute. The total length of the distribution curve is calculated, and then the curve is divided into k equal pieces, where k is the number of the partitions. The selected data is thereafter partitioned into k groups corresponding to the curve divisions.

  • Publication number: 20100149121
Abstract: System and method for substantially reducing an involvement of an applications processor in receiving data from a touchscreen display. In one aspect, the system includes a controller may be configured in an autonomous mode where it automatically measures the touchscreen display based configuration information received from the applications processor, determines notable events based on the measurement data, stores data and event identifiers related to the notable events in a memory, and sends a notification to the applications processor when event data is available In another aspect, the system includes a controller that filters user interactions events and transmits data related to only notable events to the applications processor. Because of the autonomous and event filtering operations of the touchscreen controller, there are substantially less communications between the controller and the applications processor. This improves the speed and efficiency of the applications processor.

  • Publication number: 20080075719
Abstract: The present invention provides methods of augmenting B cell depletion by promoting intravascular access of B cell subsets sequestered in lymphoid tissues rendering the B cells sensitive to killing mediated by the B cell depleting agent. One method of promoting intravascular access is by the use of integrin antagonists. Methods of treating B cell disorders by this approach is also provided.

  • Publication number: 20070253948
Abstract: The present application describes antibodies that selectively bind human Fc?RIIB, with little or no binding to other human Fc?Rs, e.g., human Fc?RIIA. The invention also provides isolated bispecific antibodies comprising an antibody that selectively binds Fc?RIIB, and a second antibody that specifically binds an activating receptor. Various uses, including therapeutic uses, for those antibodies are also described, including administration with anti-tumor antibodies and methods of inhibiting immune responses and suppressing histamine release.

  • Publication number: 20070177056
Abstract: A display processor integrated circuit includes a display processor portion and an on-chip programmable logic portion. The programmable logic portion can be configured to implement custom video and/or image enhancement functions. The display processor portion performs block-based motion detection. If no motion is detected for a given block of pixels, then interline gaps in the block are filled using temporal interpolation. If motion is detected, then interline gaps are filled using spatial interpolation. To maintain accuracy without unduly increasing computational complexity, a less complex high angle spatial interpolation method is employed where a low angle tilt condition is not detected. A more computationally intensive low angle spatial interpolation method can therefore be employed in low angle tilt conditions. Integrated circuit cost is reduced by employing pipelining to write parts of segment buffers at the same time that other parts are being read to perform the interpolation process.

  • Publication number: 20060224558
Abstract: When a user is entering a transaction for a payee or payor, categories that are associated with the payee/payor are given prominence within a drop-down menu or other selection mechanism. Categories can be associated with payees/payors based on recency and/or frequency of use in connection with such payees/payors, as well as on other factors. Associated categories can be shown atop the drop-down menu, and/or can be otherwise visually distinguished over other categories. This provides easy access and consistency in categorization for the payee, and gives users the ability to consistently and easily apply categories appropriate to a payee/payor.
