    Abstract: A method, system, and computer program product for reduplicating data in a data storage system is provided. The method includes retrieving a restore set in response to receiving a request to restore deduplicated data, identifying the deduplicated data in the restore set, creating a list of unique data block identifiers for the deduplicated data, and restoring the deduplicated data into a target location by downloading only block data content from a storage node that corresponds to the unique list of data block identifiers.
