  • Publication number: 20160080492
Abstract: The present application advantageously provides a system and method for implementing a cloud service with private storage. The system includes a storage device, a cloud server, and a client device. The system is configured in a way that the private storage device designated/owned by a user of the cloud service to initiate a communication with the cloud server to register as the user data storage location for a particular account of the cloud service rather than using a “central public storage” location as in a traditional public cloud service.

  • Publication number: 20160030132
Abstract: A navigation and monitoring system to track positions of surgical components during surgery of a patient. Some embodiments include a power source to emit a tracking signal during surgery of the patient, a first sensor mounted to a region of the patient to respond to the emitted tracking signal, and a control unit to track a position of the region relative to a fixed region of the patient as the region moves with respect to the fixed region, based on the response of the first sensor. The system can calibrate and register a movable reference point of the patient relative to a fixed reference point, and can maintain that reference point when the movable reference point moves in space during a surgical process.

  • Patent number: 8234701
Abstract: A system is provided for accessing and/or controlling at least one first computer connected to a local computer network (target computer) from at least one remote computer (being remote from the local computer network), that includes: a server computer operable to act as an intermediary between the target computer and the remote computer; and at least one proxy computer linked to the server computer and the target computer that is send digital signal(s) to the target computer as a proxy computer. The server computer is responsive to a remote computer request and then sends a communication directing the proxy computer to send the digital signal(s) to the target computer. The target computer receives the digital signal(s) from the proxy computer and thereby achieves a state in which the target computer is operable to act on the digital signal.
