The cover has a base section, by which the cover is fastened or fastenable to the container, and a closure section that is hinged on the base section via a hinge assembly such that it can pivot about a rotational axis. The hinge assembly is designed to hold or lock the closure section in a self-supporting manner in a position releasing the outlet recess.

Abstract: A container 10 has walls 14 and a support member 16 in the form of a stacking bar. The bar 16 is mounted by a plate 20, slot 22 and pin 24 to move between different stacking positions providing multiple height stacking. At the lowest position shown, the weight of a container stacked on the bar 16 is transferred to the container wall 14 by a finger 40 at a higher position, where the container wall is stronger and thus better able to bear the weight.

Abstract: An open-topped container (which may be lidded) is generally rectangular, having long sides (12) and short sides (14). The outer surfaces of the walls (12, 14) are provided with formations, at locations (20), which may engage formations on an adjacent like container to limit relative vertical movement of the containers and thus improve stability of stacks, when stacks are placed alongside each other.

Abstract: A container having walls and defining a space between the walls in which articles may be contained. The container includes a partition and attachment. The attachment is operable, in use, to adjustably attach the partition to the container within the space, to form a smaller space of variable size. The attachment includes complementary formations on the container and on the partition, which mate so attach the partition to the container. There is sufficient resilience in or associated with the complementary formations to allow the partition to be adjusted along an adjustment direction by the application of sufficient force in that direction fo force the complementary formations tp disengage.

Abstract: A container, such as for delivering merchandise to retail stores has an internal space partly defined by a partition 22 which is movable to allow the size of the container space to be varied to suit different goods. For instance, when carrying eggs, the partition can be moved to allow different sizes of egg box to be held without movement, thus reducing vulnerability of the eggs to damage during transport.

Abstract: The drawings show part of a nesting and stacking container. A support member 22 has a nesting position P1 which allows another container to nest in the container 10. The supporting member 22 can move to a chosen one of two stacking positions P2,P3 at which the member 22 can support the base of a container stacked above. Movement between the positions P1, P2 and P3 is achieved by a combination of pivotting the member 22 about an axis at 24, and moving the pivot axis relative to the container. Various other arrangements for mounting the support member 22 on the container are also described.
