  • Publication number: 20040037254
Abstract: A system for routing calls between a switching unit and a mobile unit. The system comprises a wireless adjunct and a radio transmit point. The wireless adjunct, in communication with the switching unit and a packet based network, is operable to receive data from the switching unit and place the data, in packetized form, on the packet based network. The radio transmit point, in communication with the packet based network and the mobile unit, is operable to receive the data, in packetized form, from the packet based network and provide the data to the mobile unit.
    Type: Application

  • Publication number: 20040037324
Abstract: A wireless adjunct for routing communications data between a switching unit and a radio transmit point over a packet based network. The wireless adjunct includes a switching unit interface, a network interface, and a processor. The switching unit interface is for communicating with the switching unit and receiving the communications data. The network interface is for communicating with the packet based network and transmitting the communications data to the radio transmit point; and the processor, in communication with the switching unit interface and the network interface, is operable to manage call processing and provide communications data from the switching unit interface to the network interface.

  • Publication number: 20040037256
Abstract: A system for routing calls between a switching unit and a mobile unit. The system comprises a wireless adjunct and a radio transmit point. The wireless adjunct, in communication with the switching unit and a packet based network, is operable to receive voice data from the switching unit and place the voice data, in packetized form, on the packet based network. The radio transmit point, in communication with the packet based network and the mobile unit, is operable to receive the voice data, in packetized form, from the packet based network and provide the voice data to the mobile unit.
