  • Publication number: 20250283540
Abstract: A bi-stable valve includes a valve body that has a valve inlet, a first valve outlet, and a second valve outlet. The valve body defines a preferential wall that is convex in shape that draws a flow passing through the valve inlet primarily towards the first valve outlet at a low back pressure at the first valve outlet. The valve body defines a second wall that is convex in shaped to draw the flow passing through the valve inlet more towards the second valve outlet as the back pressure at the first valve outlet increases.

  • Publication number: 20250155121
Abstract: A burner nozzle and a method of operating the burner nozzle can include a main air/fuel port located centrally within the burner nozzle, and a group of staged gas fuel ports that surrounds the main air-fuel port and which can direct fuel to an established flame zone downstream from the burner nozzle. Furthermore, a trapped vortex chamber can be formed in a wall of the main air/fuel port and can communicate with a group of primary gas ports in a fuel circuit, such that the trapped vortex chamber facilitates flame stability with respect to a flame produced by the burner nozzle.

  • Patent number: 11345552
Abstract: A secondary belt cleaner system for cleaning the surface of the return side of an endless conveyor belt. The system includes a plurality of blade devices that are rotatably biased against the return side surface using a respective torsion spring therein. Each blade device includes a head portion formed by a blade support and a replaceable blade tip that is releasably secured to the blade support. The head portion is connected to one end of a blade arm and the other end of the blade arm is coupled to a rotatable shaft inside a housing that is fixedly secured to a support shaft having mounting brackets at each end for mounting the system transversely to the conveyor belt frame. Adjacent blade devices have different blade arm lengths in order to have the blade coverage overlap with no gaps in between.

  • Publication number: 20070000842
Abstract: There is provided a method of treating waste ash, the method comprising the steps of combining waste ash with water to form a waste ash slurry comprising water in an amount of at least 50% by weight; treating the waste ash slurry and/or the waste ash and/or water to be combined with the waste ash to lower the pH thereof; and dewatering the waste ash slurry such that the resultant ash product comprises water in a lower amount than said waste ash slurry. Also provided is an apparatus for use in the method.
