  • Patent number: 11851839
Abstract: A pile for stabilizing soil for building a structure thereon includes a casing having an upper end opposite a lower end, a shaft positioned inside the casing, the shaft having a first end proximal to the upper end of the casing and a second end proximal to the lower end of the casing, wherein the casing and the shaft are substantially coaxial; and a plate attached proximal to the upper end of the casing and holding the shaft inside the casing. Optionally, the plate has one or more grout holes to allow liquid grout to flow into the casing along the shaft, potentially increasing the stability of the pile in soil.

  • Publication number: 20190029779
Abstract: The invention relates to a dental fitting (1, 1?, 101, 101?, 101?) attachable to a dental component (30), such as a dental implant. The dental fitting (1, 1?, 101, 101?, 101?) comprises a main body (2, 2?) and a retention element (4, 104, 104?, 104?) provided apically to the main body (2, 2?). The retention element (4, 104, 104?, 104?) comprises an attachment portion (6, 106, 106?, 106?) for attaching the dental fitting (1, 1?, 101, 101?, 101?) to the dental component (30). The retention element (4, 104, 104?, 104?) has a closed ring shape or an open ring shape in a cross-section perpendicular to the direction from the attachment portion (6, 106, 106?, 106?) towards a coronal end (8) of the main body (2, 2?). The attachment portion (6, 106, 106?, 106?) comprises at least one projection (10, 110, 110?, 110?) extending in one or more directions substantially perpendicular to the direction from the attachment portion (6, 106, 106?, 106?) towards the coronal end (8) of the main body (2, 2?).

  • Patent number: 10024020
Abstract: Apparatus for making foundation pilings includes a lead section with screw threads, at least one extension section, and a bit carried by the first of the extension sections. The bit slides onto the first, lower end of the extension section and is operable to compress the soil laterally to the extension sections and form a lateral groove in the soil. Grout fills the annular region of the hole bored by the apparatus including the grooves for lateral stability. Each extension section is formed to fit into the next one and to be secured to it by lateral bolts. The bolt heads prevent the bit from moving vertically as the lead section advances into the soil. Bits may be added to increase the size of the opening bored.

  • Publication number: 20180094816
Abstract: A fuel injector for a combustor of a gas turbine engine is disclosed herein. In embodiments, the fuel injector includes an injector head, a stem, a fuel passage, a fitting, a fuel inlet, and a resonator. The stem extends from the injector head. The fuel passage extends within the towards the injector head. The fitting is joined to the stem distal to the injector head. The fuel inlet fluidly connects the fitting to the fuel passage. The resonator includes a resonator body enclosing a resonator cavity and a resonator neck passage that fluidly connects the resonator cavity to the fuel passage adjacent to the fuel inlet.
