Abstract: Systems and methods for sterilizing items, such as respirators, masks, and other personal protection equipment, using UV-C light are disclosed herein. In some embodiments, counter-top systems for providing 360-degree germicidal irradiation of respirators and other items are disclosed herein. In some embodiments, the systems include one or more UV-C lamps positioned inside of a rotatable structure that supports items for sterilization, and one or more UV-C lamps positioned outside of the rotatable support structure.

Abstract: Popcorn machines having automatic sifting systems, and associated methods of operation are disclosed herein. In one embodiment, a popcorn machine includes a cabinet for receiving popcorn and unpopped corn kernels. The popcorn machine also includes an automatic sifting system having a sifting component positioned at least partially within the cabinet to receive the popcorn and the unpopped corn kernels. The sifting component can include a plurality of perforations, and an agitator can be positioned to move the sifting component to agitate the popcorn and unpopped corn kernels. The agitation of the popcorn and the unpopped corn kernels moves the unpopped corn kernels toward and through the perforations.

Abstract: Popcorn machines having communication capabilities are disclosed herein. Popcorn machines configured in accordance with the disclosure can include communication devices or components that provide remote notification of the status of operations of the machine and/or the indication of particular parameters. Several popcorn machines can be controlled remotely by mobile devices, personal computers, and/or other suitable devices. In some embodiments, notification that a popcorn machine requires maintenance or repair can be sent to a remote location and a user can be provided options to order parts or schedule repairs.
