  • Patent number: 11327453
Abstract: A relatively simple status indicator for a building control device that helps the user more quickly and intuitively identify the operation status of the building control system and more quickly troubleshoot faults and/or other problems that may occur within the building control system. This may help reduce the cost of maintain the building control system and may help reduce unwanted downtime of the building control system.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: September 1, 2018
Date of Patent: May 10, 2022
    Assignee: HONEYWELL INTERNATIONAL INC.
Inventors: FoongYeen Chan, Ke Zhang, Cary Leen, Andrew D. Halford, Timo Tapio Pihlajasaari, Sanjoy Bhattacharjee, Roy Kolasa, Duo Zhang, Evan J. Kingston
  • Patent number: 10993336
Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a user interface module for a building control system that has flexible mounting options to address mounting constraints that are often encountered in utility rooms and/or equipment panels. In some cases, the user interface module may be provided with interchangeable mounting bases from which an installer can select depending on the mounting constraints presented at a particular installation.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: September 1, 2018
Date of Patent: April 27, 2021
    Assignee: Honeywell International Inc.
Inventors: Cary Leen, Haitao Li, Arthur Zhang, Michael Zheng, Tonya Tang, Timo Tapio Pihlajasaari, Andrew D. Halford, Sanjoy Bhattacharjee, Derek Tai

  • Patent number: 8532962
Abstract: A system which may enable users to plan, design and observe various building systems in an abstract and intuitive view, such as with a map view. In this view, virtually all facility information and objects may be displayed as simple shapes (e.g., rectangles). Just by some drag-and-drop, a user may provide shapes and rearrange positions of these shapes quickly to reflect a desired space relationship. Objects (e.g., components, devices, controllers, and the like) may be placed, moved around, and associated with each other on a facility layer or floor. Further, the map view may be used together with a tree view and a list view to provide alternative design ways. Changes made in any of the views may be synchronized with the other views. Various presentations of the facility may be provided.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: December 23, 2009
Date of Patent: September 10, 2013
    Assignee: Honeywell International Inc.
Inventors: Yajun-Edwin Zhang, Zhao Xia Jin, Jerry Qi Huang, Andrew D. Halford, Chengyi Liu, Curtis Mitchell
