  • Publication number: 20200295506
Abstract: A power tool including a housing that has a battery pack receiving portion configured to receive an interface of a battery pack, device contacts extending from the housing and configured to mechanically and electrically engage with the battery pack, and a latching mechanism supported by the housing and including an actuator and a latch member configured to selectively engage the interface of the battery pack. The actuator is pivotable to operatively pivot the latch member.

  • Publication number: 20200130161
Abstract: A percussion tool comprises a housing and an electric motor positioned within the housing. The motor has a nominal outer diameter of up to about 80 mm and is operable to output at least about 2760 W. The percussion tool further comprises a battery pack supported by the housing for providing power to the motor. The battery pack includes a plurality of battery cells having a nominal voltage of up to 80 Volts and a sustained operating discharge current of between about 40 A and about 60 A. The percussion tool further comprises a percussion mechanism driven by the motor and including a striker supported for reciprocation in the housing. The percussion tool has a ratio of impact energy to mass that is greater than or equal to 2.5 Joules/kilogram.

  • Publication number: 20200061792
Abstract: A percussion tool, for performing a chiseling operation on a workpiece with a chisel, comprises a housing including a front side, and rear side, and opposite lateral sides extending between the front and rear sides, a first handle coupled to a first of the lateral sides of the housing, a second handle coupled to a second of the lateral sides of the housing, the first and second handles oriented coaxially along a handle axis, an electric motor positioned within the housing, a percussion mechanism driven by the motor and including a striker supported for reciprocation relative to the housing along a striker axis, and a light source that produces light to illuminate the workpiece. The chisel is configured to deliver repeated axial impacts to the workpiece in response to receiving repeated axial impacts from the striker.

  • Publication number: 20200061791
Abstract: A percussion tool comprises a housing, an electric motor positioned within the housing, a percussion mechanism driven by the motor and including a striker supported for reciprocation in the housing along a first axis, and a pair of handles coupled to the housing. The handles define a second axis. The percussion tool further comprises a battery pack removably coupled to the housing for providing power to the motor when coupled to the housing. The first and second axes are contained within first and second planes, respectively, that are parallel to each other.

  • Patent number: 10443690
Abstract: A heavy-duty industrial transmission is provided that can be implemented in a frac pump system with planetary gearsets with straightforward shift methodologies, slow back-driven speeds, and no recirculating torque in any of the ranges. The heavy-duty transmission has a high number of ranges and may be configured with no reverse range, no countershaft, no overdrive range(s), small and consistent steps of ratios between ranges, and a deep or large reduction ratio of the lowest range, such as at least about a 5:1 reduction. The heavy-duty industrial transmission may have a four-stage planetary arrangement that is configured to provide nine (9) ranges for the transmission that only requires two double pack shifts, with the remaining shifts being single pack shifts.

  • Publication number: 20190232478
Abstract: A percussion tool comprises a housing, an electric motor positioned within the housing, a percussion mechanism driven by the electric motor and including a striker supported for reciprocation in the housing, a battery pack removably coupled to the housing for providing power to the electric motor when coupled to the housing, and an electronic controller including an electronic processor and a memory. The electronic controller is coupled to the electric motor and configured to activate the motor and determine whether the percussion tool is in a loaded condition. In response to determining that the percussion tool is in the loaded condition, the electronic controller is configured to operate the motor in accordance with a predetermined profile and in response to determining that the percussion tool is in a no load condition, the electronic controller is configured to operate the motor at a no-load speed.

  • Patent number: 10228027
Abstract: A hydraulic power take-off, PTO, is provided for use with industrial drives. The hydraulic power take-off has a multi-position adapter that allows the PTO to be attached to a prime mover in a multitude of angularly indexed positions while maintaining a gravity-assisted drain and sump for the hydraulic fluid. The multi-position adapter is indexable to selectively block and allow for passage of oil from a tower housing to a clutch housing thus ensuring the hydraulic oil properly drains. As a result, the tower housing is also indexable which allows the PTO unit to be installed in a number of different configurations to meet the demands of the prime mover and the final application of the industrial machine.
