  • Publication number: 20220081125
Abstract: In today's social media age of live streaming and online celebrity, a solution is needed for a user to take pictures and/or video of themselves from flattering angles and under desired lighting without extending their arm, using a selfie stick or asking a stranger for help. The various embodiments of the invention herein disclose paparazzo systems and methodologies for utilizing drones to get the perfect image (whether it be live streaming, lifecasting, video, vlogging, teleconferencing, or still pictures). In one embodiment, a user (like a social media influencer) can activate a drone, which is detachably coupled to the portable drone home area, to track and take images of the user while providing instruction to the drone as to a desired angle or level of lighting all by voice command.

  • Publication number: 20220084136
Abstract: In recent years, social media has become a mainstay of global communication culture. These platforms have become a proxy for personal communication and conduit for interaction in the real world. So much so, that many have turned to these platforms for dating, friendship and finding similarly minded communities. Unfortunately, there is limited technology for translating this online communication and interaction to the user's physical proximity or real-world circumstance. The various embodiments of the invention herein disclose personal communication drone systems and methodologies for utilizing drones to leverage a user's online persona or profile to communicate personal messages, images or data to a third party. In one embodiment, a user (like a social media influencer) can activate a drone, which is detachably coupled to a portable drone home area and programmed to track the user, to find a new targeted third party and to communicate personal messages, images or data.

  • Publication number: 20130191219
Abstract: Allowing an app having access to hidden resources on a device to present third party media to the device user via that app such that requests included in the third party media which require access to hidden resources can be fulfilled without requiring further permission by the user. In one embodiment, a third party advertisement is presented to a user via an app that has been enabled by the user. The enabled app is pre-approved by the user, and by any authorizing organization, to access hidden resources, such as camera, recorder, and personal data. In this manner, third party requests that require access to such hidden data can control such access without requiring further action by the user.

  • Patent number: 7929640
Abstract: A plurality of differential encoders encodes a plurality of parallel data bit streams. XOR gates interleave the outputs of the differential encoders forming a single high speed differentially encoded bit stream with a data rate that is the sum of the data rate of the parallel data bit streams. The high speed data stream provides a single differentially encoded input to a differential phase shift keying modulator that generates symbols for a high speed optical communication system.

  • Patent number: 7280352
Abstract: There is provided a drive carrier. The drive carrier is configured to receive a media drive and is also configured to be removably receivable in a receiving location of a computer system. The drive carrier includes a base portion, a handle portion and a latch mechanism for securing the carrier within the receiving location. The base portion and the handle portion are configured to co-operate to operate the latch mechanism on insertion and/or removal of the carrier from the receiving location, for inserting and/or removing the carrier from the receiving location and operating the latch mechanism with a single movement of the handle portion.

  • Publication number: 20050193340
Abstract: A multifunctional device, such as a multifunction printer, enabling dynamic configurations of the icons on a graphical user interface. In some embodiments, the dynamic configurations create context specific icon layouts. Additionally, in some embodiments, a single icon button can be dynamically configured to represent a particular workflow operation conventionally requiring several inputs by a user at the graphical user interface. Specifically, the display of some embodiments can dynamically change to reflect the “next step” context within a workflow operation. Also, the display of some embodiments can dynamically change to reflect a unique user-context on the graphical user interface.
