    Abstract: A carrier for holding a desiccant positionable between panes of an insulated glazing unit useable in a window assembly is disclosed. The carrier may be a vented container holding desiccant material or a gas permeable housing impregnated with desiccant. The carrier may form part of the insulated glazing unit structure by providing a connector joining elongated members that define the gas space between the panes. The carrier may also be a structural part of muntins positioned within the gas space between the panes.
