    Abstract: The invention is a broadly dispatchable, optimized low to medium temperature (about 350° F. to 600° F.) geothermal energy production system to generate electricity. The invention comprises (i) a pipeline for the closed circulation of a working fluid which absorbs subterranean heat to create a superheated fluid during circulation, (ii) a pump for circulating the heatable fluid at high volumes, (iii) a chamber to convert the superheated fluid into a vapor, (iv) a heat exchanger to extract heat from the vapor, (v) an Organic Rankine Cycle engine (or similar device) powered by extracted heat and (v) a turbine driven by the Organic Rankine Cycle engine to produce electricity.

    Abstract: Described herein is a device, system and method for digital-to-analogue conversion. One embodiment provides a digital-to-analogue converter device including: a) a first input configured to receive a digital signal to be converted; b) a second input configured to receive a digital dither signal, the digital dither signal having a predefined amplitude; c) a signal combining module that is configured to combine the digital dither signal with the digital signal in the digital domain to define a combined digital signal; and d) a digital-to-analogue converter module that is configured to process the combined digital signal and to output an analogue signal that is an analogue representation of the combined digital signal. The digital-to-analogue converter module has a predefined output amplitude range. The predefined amplitude of the dither signal is at least 1% of the predefined output amplitude range.

    Abstract: A first impedance synthesizing arrangement is adapted to accept an input voltage and to provide a corresponding output current according to a predefined relationship between the input voltage and the output current. A second impedance synthesizing arrangement accepts an input current and provides an output voltage. The first and second impedance synthesizing arrangements may be utilized in the vibrational damping apparatus. When using a digital signal processor in the impedance synthesizing arrangement, it is preferable to develop an algorithm which can be used to ensure that the predefined relationship between the voltage and the current is as required.
