Publication number: 20240057740Abstract: A device for drying and/or styling hair is disclosed. The device uses conduction and convection to heat the user's hair either to dry wet or damp hair or to style the user's hair. The device has a body portion having a fan and a heater for generating a heated air stream. The heated air stream flows into a head portion that has a base portion and a heat exchanger. Heat from the air heats up the heat exchanger which in turn heats up the base portion. During use, the user's hair contacts an outer surface of the base portion and is heated by conduction. Vent holes are also provided in the base portion so that the heated air can also heat the user's hair by convection.Type: ApplicationFiled: December 21, 2021Publication date: February 22, 2024Inventors: Robert WEATHERLY, Andrew NORFOLK, Alex HARRISON, Andrew FREEMAN, Ed SURRIDGE, Adam STONE

Publication number: 20220009297Abstract: A dampening system for a tire-bead loosener may have a lever in communication with an operation valve, the operation valve configured to channel a supply flow having a supply flow pressure through a first line into a first port of a cylinder and an exhaust flow having an exhaust flow pressure through a second line out of a second port of the cylinder. A pressure line connecting the first line to the second line may include a preset pressure relief valve, a pressure regulator, and a check valve. A bypass flow of the supply flow may move through the pressure line and achieve a damped pressure, thereby channeling through the second line and into the second port of the cylinder. The supply flow pressure in the first port of the cylinder may be cushioned against the exhaust flow pressure and the damped pressure in the second port of the cylinder.Type: ApplicationFiled: June 28, 2021Publication date: January 13, 2022Inventors: Matt Weis, Andrew Freeman

Patent number: 7933455Abstract: A technique is disclosed for determining when to close a group of a plurality of groups. A closed group is one to which an image set may not be added. Each group includes one or more image sets. Each image set includes one or more images of at least one object. Each group corresponds to an object that is common among images in the one or more image sets that belong to the group. Determining when to close a particular group is based, at least in part, on one or more factors, such as how many image sets are in the particular group, the length of time the particular group has been open, and data about the one or more image sets in the particular group.Type: GrantFiled: December 7, 2009Date of Patent: April 26, 2011Assignee: 3VR Security, Inc.Inventors: Gordon T. Patent number: 7847820Abstract: A method that determines whether a detected event is a significant event requiring action in a video surveillance system. Determined event attributes and object attributes are analyzed to determine if the potential event should trigger an action by the surveillance system. If the potential event should trigger an action, at least one action is triggered. Actions may include relevant event attribute and object attribute information. Potential event may include events detected by a sensor, or external events communicated by an external system to the surveillance system. Event attributes may include location and type of the potential event. Object attributes may include an identification of an object, and attributes associated with the identified object. If an object cannot be positively identified, object attributes may include potential object identifications or determined group associations of the object.Type: GrantFiled: March 15, 2005Date of Patent: December 7, 2010Assignee: 3VR Security, Inc.Inventors: Robert P.
