  • Patent number: 11941900
Abstract: The present application relates generally to identifying regions of interest in images, including but not limited to whole slide image region of interest identification, prioritization, de-duplication, and normalization via interpretable rules, nuclear region counting, point set registration, and histogram specification color normalization. This disclosure describes systems and methods for analyzing and extracting regions of interest from images, for example biomedical images depicting a tissue sample from biopsy or ectomy. Techniques directed to quality control estimation, granular classification, and coarse classification of regions of biomedical images are described herein. Using the described techniques, patches of images corresponding to regions of interest can be extracted and analyzed individually or in parallel to determine pixels correspond to features of interest and pixels that do not.

  • Publication number: 20060158327
Abstract: The disclosure includes improvements in the field of retrofit-detector installation such as adapters that simplify retrofit of addressable detectors onto previously installed zone-type system hardware. Each adapter includes electrical circuitry for electrically connecting new addressable detectors with legacy system once installation is complete. The disclosure includes structures that permit users to efficiently solve a number of problems that may arise during installation of retrofit-detectors into legacy systems. For example, one or more switches may be used to reverse electrical polarity to thereby correct polarity and/or mapping faults. One or more switches may also be provided to disconnect at least one electrical terminal to assist in locating ground faults and/or other wiring problems. One or more test points may also be provided to test one or more electrical characteristics relevant to retrofit installations.

  • Patent number: 6477783
Abstract: An angle measuring device for use in a gyratory compactor. The device is a self-contained unit which is placed in the bottom of the mold and the asphalt or other material being compacted is placed on top of it. Inside the device is a carrier which has two vertically aligned probes which project out from it and touch the walls of the mold. One probe is fixed to the carrier; the other can move independently of the carrier. The difference in extension between the two probes is related to the angle of compaction.
