  • Patent number: 6302724
Abstract: A cable connector which includes a concave housing having opposed planar sides and a relation between the planar sides and having a proximate opening and a distal opening and first and second interior axial walls. A cable extends through the proximate opening in the exterior wall of the concave housing toward the distal opening and diverges adjacent the distal opening of the housing into opposed first and second transverse cable extensions. A terminal block is mounted in the distal opening of the housing having first and second projections and each of the projections engage one of the interior axial walls of the housing and one of the transverse cable extensions. Metallic contacts also extend from the terminal block to be electrically connected to the transverse cable extensions.

  • Patent number: 6253451
Abstract: An electrical connector which includes an insulative body which has a leg portion and a top portion which extends generally perpendicularly from the leg second portion. A conductive contact which includes a retention section and a resilient section is also included in the electrical connector. The contact is fixed to the top section and the resilient section extends along the leg section. The connector may be interposed between a electrical device and a printed circuit board.

  • Patent number: 6071141
Abstract: Electrical connectors having latches for holding the connectors in mated condition employ relatively long latch arms with a point of flexure near a rear end of the connector. The latches extend into locating posts positioned forwardly of the mating face of the connector. If multiple latch arms are used, they are interconnected by a commonly actuated cross bar. Latch arms may be formed by integrally molding the arms with covers of the connectors. Effective latching properties and a long life are achieved with such latch structures. Manufacturing costs may be reduced by integrally molding latches with covers of the connector.

  • Patent number: 5954529
Abstract: Connector block (3) comprising at least one contact member (22) provided with a first contact terminal (10) for electrical contact to a contact terminal (6) of a mating connector (2), a second contact terminal (9) and a spring part (13) giving the contact member a resilient capacity in its axial direction, the first contact terminal (10), the second contact terminal (9) and the spring part (13) being integrally made and the spring part (13) having a corrugated structure; separate ground means (19, 19') are arranged to provide a static discharge capacity for vulnerable electronic components connected to the second contact terminals (9).

  • Patent number: 5516294
Abstract: A connector system is provided with connectors, each of which comprises at least one shielded terminal. The shielded terminal has a ground contact and at least one signal terminal. The ground contact is substantially identical for signal conductors terminating either in a female, a male, or a hermaphroditic structure. The shielded terminal also has at least one lug extending beyond the shielded terminal. The signal terminal is either provided, at one end of the shielded terminal with at least one clamping lug which can be folded around the signal conductor of an electrical cable to establish a firm electrically conductive contact therewith, or it is integrally made with the signal conductor.
