  • Patent number: 10294855
Abstract: An air-to-air charge air cooler for cooling air supplied to an internal combustion engine includes a tube assembly including a plurality of tubes extending in a longitudinal direction. The plurality of tubes is arranged adjacent to one another. Each of the plurality of tubes includes an inlet to receive airflow and an outlet to output airflow. A turbulator is arranged in at least one of the plurality of tubes, the turbulator having a pitch defined in a direction transverse to airflow through the tube. The pitch varies in at least one of a longitudinal direction and a transverse direction of the tube.

  • Patent number: 10106028
Abstract: A method for internal transmission oil cooler (ITOC) mounting includes molding an ITOC end tank to include at least one aperture extending through an external fluid port for connecting a transmission fluid line. At least one ITOC mounting fixture is disposed internal to the ITOC end tank, and an ITOC having at least one fluid aperture surrounded by an O-ring is aligned with the at least one mounting fixture. The ITOC is snapped into the at least one mounting fixture to create a press fit fluid seal between the O-ring and the at least one aperture of the end tank.

  • Patent number: 9941557
Abstract: System and methods are disclosed incorporating a battery cooling system design that may provide for relatively uniform cooling of an associated battery system. In certain embodiments, a battery cooling system may include a central coolant delivery system configured to circulate liquid coolant through one or more coolant flow channels included in one or more cooling plates. One or more seals may be used to couple the central coolant delivery system to the one or more coolant delivery plates. Embodiments of the disclosed battery cooling system may allow for relatively straightforward manufacturing processes and/or assembly of the cooling system, provide sufficient mechanical strength to support a group of battery packs, reduce the occurrence of liquid coolant leaks, and/or provide for relatively uniform cooling of a group of battery packs.

  • Publication number: 20180017063
Abstract: A fan assembly includes a first fan and a second fan spaced from the first fan. The first fan includes a first central portion and a plurality of first fan blades being supported by the first central portion. The second fan includes a second central portion and a plurality of second fan blades being supported by the second central portion. The fan assembly also includes a single drive unit configured to selectively operate both of the first and second fans. The single drive unit is spaced from at least one of the first and second fans to indirectly operate at least one of the fans.
