  • Publication number: 20150256750
Abstract: A method, apparatus and computer program product are provided so as to capture video images such that an image of a moment of significance is captured within the video. In the context of a method, an indication is received that a video capture user input will be subsequently provided directing that video images be captured. The method then determines whether a pre-roll is to be captured in advance of the video capture user input. The method causes the video images to be captured in response to the video capture user input. The video images include a start frame captured temporarily proximate receipt of the video capture user input. The method receives a video capture completion user input indicating that the capturing of the video images should be ceased. In response to receipt of the video capture completion user input, the method causes a post-roll to be captured.

  • Patent number: 9106820
Abstract: Mechanisms are described for capturing video images using a multi-stage trigger button, where the effect of the trigger button is dependent on how a user interacts with the trigger button, such as during what timeframe the user releases the trigger button. For example, if the user ceases actuating the trigger button during a first time period following actuation, the capture of the video image is halted. If the user ceases actuating the trigger button during a second time period, the capture of the video image is continued. If the user ceases actuating the trigger button during a third time period, the capture of the video image is halted. Thus, for short actuations and long actuations, video images are only recorded while the trigger button is continued to be depressed. For video images in between, the video is continued to be recorded until a second actuation is received from the user.

  • Publication number: 20110066941
Abstract: Techniques for providing a graphical user interface for an audio channel include receiving data that indicates multiple audio contents for audio presentation at a first node. A graphical user interface is formed, which displays a time sequence of the plurality of audio contents for presentation, and which associates with each audio content one or more selectable operations on the audio content. Presentation of the graphical user interface is caused at a second node. In response to causing presentation of the graphical user interface, data is received that indicates an associated operation on audio content based on input from the second node.

  • Publication number: 20060121963
Abstract: A mobile station including a cover assembly and a wireless telecommunications signal receiving and generating assembly. Included in the cover assembly is a belt that substantially extends around the signal receiving and generating assembly, and a connector to hold the belt closed about the signal receiving and generating assembly. The belt includes a pair of side edges which define side openings through which the signal receiving and generating assembly can be accessed. Advantageously, the belt is easily exchanged with other belts so as to vary the appearance of the mobile station. Further, the side edges are easily gripped by a user holding the mobile station. In another aspect, the belt includes an integrated key pad which overlies a plurality of key contacts of the signal receiving and generating assembly.

  • Publication number: 20060111052
Abstract: An improved body design for a mobile station or other electronic device is provided. Unlike conventional mobile station bodies, which are comprised of durable polymer shells that are rigidly joined together (e.g., by ultra-sonic welding, adhesives, etc.) to enclose operational elements and circuitry, a replaceable and enhanceable body structure comprised is provided that is comprised of one or more stacked elements. The stacked elements are positioned one atop the next in a facing relationship. In one embodiment, the stacked elements define one or more apertures for receiving and enclosing one or more operational elements (e.g. a display, a keypad, an antenna, a mobile station engine, etc.).

  • Publication number: 20060089181
Abstract: The present invention is directed to an opening mechanism for a mobile station. The mobile station includes a first portion foldably coupled to a second portion via a hinge region. The mobile station includes inner and outer surfaces, which are separated by opposing lateral edges provided therebetween. According to various embodiments, the opener is comprised of one or more opening members that extend axially from the first portion of the mobile station to the second portion. The one or more opening members include one or more laterally extending depressible portions. To open the mobile station, a user merely presses (or pinches) the one or more depressible portions laterally, inwardly, thereby driving the first portion of the mobile station to separate from the second portion.

  • Publication number: 20060089182
Abstract: The present invention provides an improved hinge design for a mobile station or other electronic device that simplifies hinge assembly and thus, provides a more cost-effective manufactured product. Moreover, the improved hinge assembly complements the aesthetic appeal of the foldable mobile station and provides less stress on various internal elements. In particular, the present invention includes a foldable mobile station or other foldable electronic device having a first functional component coupled to a second functional component via an elastomeric tensioner. The elastomeric tensioner functions to bias the first and second functional components in either an open or folded position.

  • Publication number: 20060079305
Abstract: Various embodiments are directed to an improved mobile station cover assembly adapted for at least partially enclosing a wireless telecommunications signal receiving and generating assembly. In one embodiment, the cover assembly includes a belt adapted to receive one or more weldable articles. The belt has a first end, a second end and a pair of side edges. The pair of side edges are laterally spaced from each other and extend between the first and second ends. Also included in the belt are first and second portions wherein the first portion is adjacent the first end and the second portion is adjacent the second end. Positioned between the first and second portions is a foldable portion. The foldable portion extends between the side edges and allows the first and second portions to be opened or closed when moved about the foldable portion.

  • Publication number: 20050227533
Abstract: The present invention addresses the above needs and achieves other advantages by providing a mobile station of the present invention. The mobile station includes a wireless telecommunications signal processing assembly contained within a housing. In addition, the mobile station includes a grip flange that has a peripheral edge extending around the housing so that the housing is contained within the peripheral edge. A body of the grip flange is attached to at least one portion of the housing, allowing the grip flange to be easily gripped by the user for carrying the mobile station. The grip flange may also include an inner edge that defines an opening in which the housing is positioned wherein portions of the inner edge are spaced from the housing to allow the user to grip the flange with a closed grasp.

  • Publication number: 20050183242
Abstract: A bangle or handle for supporting a mobile station that includes a continuous loop of resiliently compressible material. A portion of the length of the handle is configured to fit within a channel defined in a housing of the mobile station. A second length portion extends from the housing to form a loop of the handle that can be gripped by the user, or otherwise used to suspend the mobile station. The handle may also include a conducting element that extends through the loop and is in communication with a conducting contact of the loop. The conducting contact of the continuous loop can be positioned in overlying contact with a conducting contact of the housing of the mobile station. Such contact supplies power or signals to, and receives power or signals from, a device such as a light, fan, noise generator or camera, connected to the second length portion.
