    Abstract: A system and method for testing an audio system in a motor vehicle is disclosed. The system and method can be used to send a test signal to a particular loudspeaker. Controls allow a user to test each loudspeaker individually and to move the test signal from one loudspeaker to another easily. The system and method can include a particular key or button sequence to enter the diagnostic mode. The system also includes provisions that allow users to easily direct a test signal to a particular loudspeaker.
