  • Publication number: 20240005572
Abstract: An electronic sports playbook and video annotation system includes a device with a memory coupled to a processor that stores instructions that, when executed by the processor, cause the processor to generate sports playbook content based on coordinate or image data. The processor is configured to detect an object (e.g., a player, etc.) on a surface (e.g., court image, or play image such as a static play drawing or video recording frame), detect a drawing of a path relating to the object (e.g., by user input device or with image processing, machine learning, or other heuristic techniques, etc.), and determine an action (e.g., a pass, dribble, cut, screen, handoff, etc.) associated with the object based on at least an attribute of the object (e.g., does the player have possession?, etc.) and detected path relating to the object. Devices may generate memory games from sports playbook content.

  • Publication number: 20230009583
Abstract: A method of controlling the robotic floor cleaning machine is disclosed that includes sensing, by a sensor on the robotic cleaning machine, an object within a sensed field. The method further includes determining, by a safety controller on the robotic cleaning machine, whether the object is an immovable object (such as a wall), and deploying an extendable cleaning element to clean the floor surface up next to the wall. The method can further include deploying the extendable cleaning element such that the extendable cleaning element is in contact with and cleans the floor up to an edge of the immovable object. Additionally, the method can include determining that the object is a movable object (such as a living thing) and preventing the extendable cleaning element from extending such that the robotic cleaning machines does not contact the movable object.

  • Patent number: 11500280
Abstract: A system includes a view screen with polarized output. The view screen may include a projected view screen or writing-surface view screen. A window capable of blocking the polarized output at least in part cloaks the view screen to frustrate viewing of the view screen through the window. In some cases, the window includes an array of panels capable of blocking multiple polarizations. The array may disrupt multiple different polarized view screen outputs while maintaining transparency to unpolarized light. In some cases, the window capable of blocking polarized output may be paired with view screen cover that converts view screen output in an unblocked polarization to one of the one or more polarizations blocked by the window.
