  • Patent number: 10840746
Abstract: A wireless power transmitting device transmits wireless power signals to a wireless power receiving device using a wireless power transmitting coil. The wireless power receiving device may transmit data packets to the wireless power transmitting device. The wireless power transmitting device may include a data receiver that is coupled to the wireless power transmitting coil and that receives the transmitted data packets. The data receiver may be configured to demodulate the received data packets. The data packets may include at least preamble bits, start bits, and data bits encoded as biphase half-bit signals in accordance with a predefined wireless power transfer protocol. During demodulation, the receiver may perform preamble detection, start bit detection, and data bit detection by comparing the input signals to corresponding reference patterns using a maximum likelihood sequence detection scheme. Phase recovery may be employed throughout to help provide immunity to phase change.

  • Patent number: 10045848
Abstract: Implant apparatus and methods directed toward treating conditions involving the knee joint are disclosed. Full range of motion of the knee joint and tissue integrity are maintained in treatment approaches. In one particular approach, osteoarthritis of the knee joint is addressed by unloading one or more of the lateral and medial compartments.

  • Patent number: 9825964
Abstract: Enforcing access control to individual extensions of services in a multi-tenant cloud environment by initializing objects for the extension based on public and private configuration files with service access rules that are merged is described. This allows third party vendors to specify payment rules for their own extensions while securely keeping the core extension configuration files. Tenants of the multi-tenant cloud environment can pick and choose which services to purchase, and the cloud environment automates the process of accessing the service using the third-party developer's tenant access list rules.

  • Patent number: 9486319
Abstract: Load transferring systems and related methods for transferring load in a joint are provided. The load transferring system may include two bases configured to couple to bones defining a joint and a spring configured to couple to the bases. The spring may be configured to exert a tensile force between the bases during flexion of the joint. The load transferring system may be employed to treat symptoms associated with osteoarthritis of the lateral compartment of the knee joint. Thus, the bases may respectively couple to the femur and tibia. The spring may exert tensile force therebetween during flexion of the knee joint so as to unload the lateral compartment of the knee joint by transferring load from the lateral compartment of the knee joint to the medial compartment of the knee joint.
