  • Patent number: 11914025
Abstract: A plurality of positional sensing devices are situated at regular intervals within an environment and collect data for tracking objects moving within the environment. Phase shift of modulated Doppler pulses reflected from the sensing devices to objects are measured and converted into positional data indicating positions of detected objects within the environment. Associated timestamp data is also collected by the positional sensing devices. The positional data and associated timestamp data is aggregated from the plurality of positional sensors, and the aggregated positional data and is clustered to determine point clouds which are associated with the detected objects. The clusters are tracked by tracklets that track the position of each cluster over time. Trajectories for each detected object are determined by connecting tracklets together that are associated with the same detected object.

  • Publication number: 20230366543
Abstract: Systems and methods presented herein generally relate to determining flaring efficiency of a flare based at least in part on radiant or thermal heat generated by the flare that is detected by one or more flare monitors. In particular, in certain embodiments, a control system may be used to determine a flaring efficiency of the combustion of the flare gas at the tip of the flare based at least in part on the radiant or thermal heat detected by the one or more flare monitors.

  • Publication number: 20220253580
Abstract: Fluid modeling methods and systems are provided for predicting phase behavior of petroleum fluids using a computational model that employs pseudo-components of varying carbon numbers that represent asphaltenes, asphaltene-like hydrocarbon, and non-asphaltene hydrocarbons. The computational model models the phase equilibria of the mixture of components with mixing rules that employ binary interaction parameters determined from correlations that involve certain properties or parameters associated with respective pseudo-component pairs as input variables. The binary interaction parameters are tuned by adjusting at least one parameter of the respective correlations based on matching at least one measured property of one or more petroleum fluids to a corresponding property predicted by the computational model for the one or more petroleum fluids. The tuned values for the binary interaction parameters can be stored as part of the computational model for subsequent fluid modeling.

  • Patent number: 7712871
Abstract: An embodiment relates generally to a method of ejecting ink. The method includes providing a continuous stream of ink from a pressurized fluid chamber and activating a drive signal to activate a micro-electrostatic mechanical system (MEMS) membrane. The method also includes stably breaking up the jet stream into uniform droplets in response to deflecting the MEMS membrane to perturb the continuous stream of ink.

  • Publication number: 20070045295
Abstract: Aspects of the invention can include an internal heating system for an image transfer drum that can include a box having a plurality of sides, an open side facing the drum and a heater element. The box can have small gaps between it and the internal drum surface to maximize thermal efficiency of the internal heating system. The heater element can include first and second support structures that are disposed on a central support structure, the first support structure having an end connector at one side away from the second support structure. Further, a first coil can be formed around the first support structure, and a second coil can be formed around the second support structure and one end of the second coil can be coupled by an electrical line that extends within the central support structure through the second support structure towards the end connector.
