  • Patent number: 11698169
Abstract: A vessel for the transport of liquefied gas has a hull, a cargo storage tank arranged in the hull for storing liquefied gas and an engine to propel the ship. A compressor has a compressor inlet connected to a vapour space of the at least one cargo storage tank for receiving boil-off gas at a first pressure and a compressor outlet for supplying pressurized boil-off gas to the at least one engine at a second pressure exceeding the first pressure. A boil-off gas recovery system is provided for recovery of boil off gas. The boil-off gas recovery system has a cooling section with a cooling section inlet connected to the compressor outlet to recondense at least part of the pressurized boil-off gas and a boil-off gas storage tank having a boil-off gas storage tank inlet connected to the cooling section outlet for storing the recondensed pressurized boil-off gas.

  • Patent number: 11585058
Abstract: A flood barrier for protecting the environment having a venturi type effect pumping means not requiring external power, the flood barrier comprising a wall and a pump for drawing water across the barrier from a first side to a second side. The wall configured to provide a barrier preventing movement of water from the first, drain, side to the second, tributary, side, of that wall. The barrier further comprising a pipe traversing the wall for transferring water between the two sides of the wall the pipe being terminated in the first side of the wall at a venturi effect pump, the pump being feedable with water from the drain through a conduit inlet so as to create suction in the pipe for drawing water through the pipe from the second side of the wall to drain water from the second to the first side of the wall.

  • Publication number: 20050216139
Abstract: A method and apparatus for creating a computerized market and integrated service chain for the aviation industry by use of a plurality of participant terminals using software tools and electronic devices. The present invention provides suppliers with specialized marketing and pricing tools for participating and non-participating aircraft operators and offers aircraft operators tools for displaying, managing, and analyzing suppliers' pricing and service offerings. The invention additionally creates a means for aircraft operators to integrate scheduling activities with the purchase of fuel and services in a paperless, detailed reporting environment, while using one or more credit providers but without the need for pilots to present any physical form of payment. In a preferred embodiment of the invention, suppliers are provided a method to display, manage, and integrate service requests from all aircraft operators.
