Abstract: A surface mounted air diverting system includes an attachment plate device having a central opening for engaging a wall mounted air supply vent. Connectors are positioned adjacent to the central opening and removably secure an air diverter device. The air diverter device includes a main body that is secured to the wall on which the air supply vent is located. The device includes an air inlet opening and a first air outlet opening along one side, and a second air outlet opening on the other side. A diverter block transitions the device between an open position and a closed position. When in the closed position, air from the supply vent is routed to the second air outlet opening, and in the open position, air from the supply vent is routed to the first air outlet opening.

It has primary usages as a room or shower heater where it can be recessed into a wall or ceiling where it intakes air from the room, heats it and routes it through an insulated duct in the wall and vents it back into the room near the floor. In a shower, the heater can be located high on the wall or in the ceiling away from the shower to keep it away from splashed water. Additionally, the heater and vent can both be mounted in the ceiling where the heater is outside the shower and the vent is in the shower. It can be controlled by a switch, wired thermostat or wireless remote.
