  • Publication number: 20240074026
Abstract: Consumables for cutting torches include a distributor, an electrode, and a nozzle. The distributor defines a plurality of ports that extend from an internal cavity of the distributor to an exterior surface of the distributor. The electrode is disposed within and irremovably, fixedly coupled to the distributor. The nozzle defines at least one set of passageways that direct gas into a gap defined between the electrode and the nozzle, the nozzle being irremovably, fixedly coupled to the distributor.

  • Patent number: 11047434
Abstract: The present disclosure sets forth a one-way clutch. The one-way clutch can function with one or no races as opposed to conventional prior art one-way clutches. In so doing, the overall size and weight requirements of the one-way clutch are drastically reduced, which in turn drastically reduces the overall size and weight requirements of the transmission and vehicle employing the transmission as well. The present disclosure also provides a one-way clutch having an outer race provided by axially spaced plates. An inner race is rotatably mounted with respect to one of the plates and the inner race has a ratchet surface. Ratchet pawls are pivotably mounted with respect to the plates and have unidirectional engagement with the ratchet surface of the inner race. In addition to reducing material and labor production costs, such lessened size and weight penalties translate into higher transmission efficiency and better vehicle fuel economy.

  • Publication number: 20180071600
Abstract: A grip pressure measurement device is embedded in a swing object used for sports, such as a golf club or a racquet. Embedding can occur during manufacturing or as an after-market modification. The grip measurement device comprises one or more pressure sensors, a local processor, and a network interface. One embodiment of the pressure sensors measures from two sides, a side of contact with a player's hand and a side of contact with the swinging object.

  • Patent number: 7357233
Abstract: The torque converter includes a torque input member and an impeller assembly operatively coupled with the torque input member. A turbine assembly is connected with the impeller and a lock-up clutch is interposed between the turbine assembly and the torque input member. The lock-up clutch provides torque translation between the torque input member and the turbine assembly and includes an annular piston mounted to the turbine assembly and a friction plate movably supported relative to the annular piston and operatively disposed between the annular piston and torque input member. A first friction member is operatively disposed between the friction plate and the torque input member, and a second friction member is operatively disposed between the friction plate and the annular piston. Torque is translated from the torque input member through the first friction member, the friction plate, the second friction member, and the annular piston to the turbine assembly.

  • Publication number: 20070084558
Abstract: A hand tool for press-welding and sealing overlapping edges of roofing membrane sheets by a roller mounted on one end of a handle. A rigid rod extends outwardly from an opposite end of the handle and has a curved section and a rounded corner which terminates in an angled linear section ending in a distal end. The distal end is used as a pick to test the integrity of the formed seam and the curved section is used for applying pressure to specific areas on the seam. The tool can perform both functions of applying pressure to the sheets by the roller and then testing the integrity of the formed seam without requiring excessive reorientation or movement of the tool in the hand of an installer.
