Publication number: 20240091385Abstract: Combined administration of a selective glucocorticoid receptor modulator (SGRM; e.g., relacorilant or exicorilant) and a cancer therapeutic (e.g., a taxane or antiandrogen) is useful for identifying elevated cortisol activity in patients with cancer or with Cushing's syndrome, and for treating patients with cancer (e.g., ovarian, pancreatic, or prostate cancer). An at least 40% change in RNA levels encoding CDKN1C, TNFRSF17, BRIP1, PDK1, CLEC10A, FPR3, CCR2, LTLRB4, or CD86 indicates that the patient with cancer is likely to benefit from the combined treatment (e.g., likely to have longer survival than similar patients not receiving combined treatment). An active SGRM dose is identified where RNA levels encoding CDKN1C, TNFRSF17, BRIP1, or PDK1 decrease, or where RNA levels encoding CLEC10A, FPR3, CCR2, LTLRB4, and CD86 increase, by at least 40%. Changes in RNA levels encoding CLEC10A, FPR3, CCR2, LTLRB4, and CD86 identify patients with cancer or with Cushing's having elevated cortisol activity.Type: ApplicationFiled: September 1, 2023Publication date: March 21, 2024Applicant: Corcept Therapeutics IncorporatedInventors: Andrew Greenstein, Hazel Hunt

Publication number: 20240096489Abstract: In certain embodiments, a method for analyzing a retinal image of an eye for retinal disease includes conforming a contact portion of a patient interface to the surface of the eye. A camera stem is received by a sleeve of the patient interface. Light from the camera stem is directed by the sleeve towards the interior of the eye, and light reflected from the interior of the eye is directed by the sleeve towards the camera. Image data generated by the camera is output to a computer. Options representing actions that facilitate analysis of the retinal image are displayed at the computer. The retinal image is displayed at the computer according to the image data. A selection of an option is received by the computer. Patent number: 11602636Abstract: An alert system detects when an auditory prosthesis recipient is wearing her sound processor. When the processor is not worn, the alert system signals a secondary device, such as an accessory, to provide some other form of tactile stimulation to allow the recipient to be made aware of certain auditory stimuli she is not receiving via the auditory prosthesis. Thus, the alert system can effectively “hear” for the recipient. Since many auditory prosthesis recipients are, for all practical purposes, completely deaf without their external sound processors attached and operational, such an alert system increases the recipient's safety, convenience, and quality of life.Type: GrantFiled: July 12, 2021Date of Patent: March 14, 2023Assignee: Cochlear LimitedInventors: Andrew Hunt, David Harte, Hans Yoo, Roger Alan Smith

Patent number: 11566485Abstract: An assembly is used for chemical injection through a wellhead to a capillary line in a well. A capillary hanger installs in the wellhead to support the capillary line. A no-return valve of the capillary hanger prevents fluid communication uphole from the supported capillary line. An injection module mounts above a gate valve on the wellhead and includes a movable mandrel disposed therein. Hydraulic pressure applied to a piston chamber in the module extends the mandrel through the open gate valve so that a distal end of the mandrel can open the no-return valve. At this point, chemical injection introduced into the module can communicate through a flow bore of the extended mandrel, through the open non-return valve, and on through the supported capillary line in the well.Type: GrantFiled: September 29, 2021Date of Patent: January 31, 2023Assignee: Weatherford Technology Holdings, LLCInventors: Martin Robert Douglas Oliphant, Keith Adams, Robert Andrew Hunt
