Abstract: A system for capturing and storing customer transaction information includes a point-of-sale device for capturing information about items purchased by the customer, a dispenser for notifying the customer of an code identifying the transaction and a network address where the customer can go to view the transaction information, and a device connected over a network to the point-of-sale device for storing the customer transaction information. The customer uses the identifying code and the network address to access their transaction information without having to authenticate with the device associated with the network address, and the transaction information does not include any customer specific information.

Abstract: A general purpose computer system is used to run a color selection application which operates to facilitate the selection of colors and the automatic generation of palettes of harmonious colors. The application is implemented in three pages, a color selection page, a results manager page, and a color composition page. The color selection page is used to select a plurality of colors that the results manager page can operate on to generate palettes of harmoniously related colors. The color composition page is used to experiment with the colors selected and palettes generated in order to arrive at a pleasing arrangement of colors. The results manager page contains functions and palette characteristics that an artist can specify in order to automatically generate palettes that contain groups of colors that have very specific contrast relationships to previously selected colors.

Abstract: A color correction method utilizes a specially designed, perceptually ordered, intermediate color space and color value information from an original source device image and color value information from a repositioned source device image to quantify the accuracy of a color image translation process. The color correction method operates, under user control, to convert original source device image color values to intermediate space color values, where the color values can be analyzed to determine whether or not all of them are positioned within the gamut of a target device. If all of the original source device color values are not positioned within the gamut of the target device, the user can reposition these colors so that all or substantially all of the color values are contained within the gamut of the target device.
