Abstract: A raking implement, which is especially well-suited for use as a sand trap rake, comprises a rake head which is formed from a resilient, elastomeric material. A plurality of tines extending from the crosshead are integrally formed from the same resilient, elastomeric material. A stiffener, which is also formed of a resilient elastomeric such as nylon, is embedded within the crosshead to increase the rigidity along a transverse axis. The rake head is attached to a hollow handle by means of an integrally molded socket, a threaded bolt and a wedge nut.
