Publication number: 20240127451Abstract: Described herein are methods and computer systems for classification of CD8 T-cell topology using a patient response-based linear cutoff model. A plurality of histology images of tissue samples in a plurality of patients are received by a computer system. An image analysis of the plurality of histology images is performed to obtain a CD8+ T-cell abundance in the tumor parenchyma and stroma in each of the plurality of histology images. Real inflammation scores and tumor infiltration scores are determined based on a polar coordinate transformation of the CD8+ T-cell abundance in the tumor parenchyma and stroma. Based on the real inflammation scores and tumor infiltration scores, a feature space is generated, and linear boundaries or linear cutoffs between a plurality of classifications in the feature space are identified based on the real inflammation scores, the tumor infiltration scores, and patient response data.Type: ApplicationFiled: February 25, 2022Publication date: April 18, 2024Applicant: Bristol-Myers Squibb CompanyInventors: George C. Patent number: 11938536Abstract: Metal powder particles for use in additive manufacturing are made by removing material from the surface of the particles using wet chemical etching to create a nanoscale texturing of the surface, increasing absorptivity by the metal powder particles of incident laser light and maintaining flowability. The nanoscale texturing has sub-wavelength features at laser wavelengths in the range 800-1100 nm. The particles are substantially spherical and have mean diameters in the range 10-70 ?m.Type: GrantFiled: March 28, 2022Date of Patent: March 26, 2024Assignee: The Board of Trustees of the Leland Stanford Junior UniversityInventors: Ottman A. Patent number: 11927925Abstract: A building system including one or more memory devices configured to store instructions that, when executed on one or more processors, cause the one or more processors to collect building device data of a building device, the building device data comprising a plurality of data samples of a data point and generate a time correlated data stream for the data point, the time correlated data stream comprising values of the plurality of data samples of the data point. The instructions cause the one or more processors to generate a time correlated reliability data stream for the data point, the time correlated reliability data stream comprising a plurality of reliability values indicating reliability of the values of the plurality of data samples of the data point.Type: GrantFiled: November 15, 2019Date of Patent: March 12, 2024Assignee: Johnson Controls Tyco IP Holdings LLPInventors: Kirk H. Patent number: 10484082Abstract: Space asset tracking system includes a space asset tag (SAT) disposed in a tag housing. A space vehicle tracking system (SVTS) disposed within the tag housing includes a power supply, a position sensing receiver system (PSRS), and a ground link radio frequency (GLRF) transmitter under the control of a processing circuit. The processing circuit selectively causes the GLRF transmitter to automatically transmit tracking information based on the position information. The system can also include a ground station for receiving the tracking information.Type: GrantFiled: December 2, 2016Date of Patent: November 19, 2019Assignee: Haris CorporationInventors: Jerry C. Brand, Derek M. Tournear, Andrew J. Lee, Thomas B. Campbell, Norberto H. Marquez-Arroyo

Patent number: 5995681Abstract: A digital image processing system reduces errors in the parameters of a sensor geometry model, through which points in a captured digital image are geolocated to the surface of the earth by means of a `real time` co-registration mechanism that refines the geometry model associated with the working image in a matter of seconds. Using a co-registration mechanism such as that described in the U.S. Pat. No. 5,550,937, the system co-registers the reduced accuracy working digital image with a reference image, geographical spatial locations of respective pixels of which have been previously determined with a high degree of accuracy. The imagery co-registration operator adjusts the respective geometry models associated with its input images, in accordance with differences in cross-correlations of the respectively different spatial resolution versions of the two images, so as to bring the respective images into effective co-registration on image registration surface.Type: GrantFiled: June 3, 1997Date of Patent: November 30, 1999Assignee: Harris CorporationInventors: Andrew J. Patent number: 5096193Abstract: A balanced bowling ball having a core and a shell, and including a counterweight nugget positioned intermediate the bowling ball thumb and finger grip holes. The counterweight nugget comprises a non-metallic material, including refractory tungsten carbide suspended in a matrix of thermoplastic binder, having a density at least an order or magnitude greater than the density of the shell and core materials. The counterweight nugget is disposed within a depression on the core in one embodiment and in a depression in the shell in another embodiment. Alternative methods of manufacturing each embodiment and the material forming the counterweight nugget are also disclosed.Type: GrantFiled: September 28, 1990Date of Patent: March 17, 1992Assignee: Ebonite International Inc.Inventor: Andrew J. Patent number: 4875410Abstract: A bowling ball, rather than being engraved with a decoration, is printed with the decoration, relying on graft polymerization chemistry by which the printing fluid, offset to the ball in decoration form, is effectively bonded to the ball which may be rubber or other polymer capable of participating in graft polymerization.Type: GrantFiled: January 25, 1988Date of Patent: October 24, 1989Assignee: Ebonite International, Inc.Inventors: Andrew J. Lee, Mohan L. Sanduja, Kenneth Sugathan, Felicia Dragnea, Carl Horowitz

Patent number: 4592551Abstract: An integral, solid bowling ball, devoid of any significant hollow portion, with inherent hooking characteristics has an elongated rod-like core that is symmetrical about the finger hole axis of the ball. The core is much denser than the encompassing body of the ball, preferably by a factor exceeding 2:1, has an axial length exceeding six-tenths of the ball diameter, and has an average diameter of about one-third of the ball diameter, with the core providing about one-fourth of the total ball weight. A frusto-conical core shape is preferred.Type: GrantFiled: March 21, 1985Date of Patent: June 3, 1986Assignee: Ebonite International, Inc.Inventor: Andrew J. Lee

Patent number: 4461478Abstract: The outer shell of a bowling ball, vulcanized in situ onto a spherical core, is formed of a mixture of sulfur-vulcanizable rubber, preferably SBR rubber, inert particulate filler such as rubber dust, sulfur, process oil, and polyurethane, with suitable accelerators and pigment. The polyurethane, comprising about two to about ten percent by weight of the shell, is preferably of a kind that is retarded in curing by the presence of the sulfur and is generally incompatible for polymerization with the rubber; the ball exhibits superior hooking and hitting characteristics and has high oil resistance.Type: GrantFiled: June 14, 1982Date of Patent: July 24, 1984Assignee: Ebonite International, Inc.Inventors: Andrew J. Lee, Thomas E. Palmer, Dorris K. Mason
