  • Publication number: 20110239425
Abstract: A tool operable to expand an end of a pipe includes a plurality of jaws movable between a closed position and an expanded position and rotatable about a longitudinal axis and a rotation collar rotationally coupled to each of the plurality of jaws. A shuttle is selectively engageable with the rotation collar and is rotatable between a first orientation and a second orientation and a spindle is movable between a first position in which the shuttle is in the first orientation and is disengaged from the rotation collar, a second position in which the shuttle is in the first orientation and is engaged with the rotation collar, and a third position in which the shuttle and the rotation collar are rotated together to the second orientation. The rotation of the rotation collar produces a corresponding rotation of the plurality of jaws while the plurality of jaws is in the closed position.

  • Publication number: 20110197457
Abstract: A blade removal mechanism is moveable between a first position and a second position for engaging a band saw blade. The blade removal mechanism includes a first member for positioning adjacent a blade-receiving space of the band saw, the first member engageable with the band saw blade when the blade removal mechanism is in the second position. The mechanism also includes an actuator coupled to the first member for transmitting movement to the first member and a biasing member for biasing the actuator and the first member to the first position and away from the band saw blade.

  • Patent number: 7900661
Abstract: A plunge router and kit are provided. In some aspects, a kit includes a first router base, a second router base, a motor assembly, and a depth adjustment mechanism at least partially supported by the motor assembly. The motor assembly is interchangeably supported by the first and second router bases. The depth adjustment mechanism adjusts a depth of cut of a tool element relative to the router base on which it is supported. The motor assembly may also be inserted into and supported by the first and second router bases along a substantially linear path. In other aspects, a depth of cut of a plunge router is finely adjustable. The depth of cut may also be coarsely adjustable.

  • Patent number: 7425816
Abstract: A combination including a battery pack and a battery charger operable to supply a charging current to the battery pack. The battery pack includes a plurality of battery cells having a lithium-based chemistry and a present state of charge. The battery pack also includes a battery microcontroller that is operable to measure the present state of charge of at least one of the battery cells to produce battery cell present state of charge measurements. The battery charger includes a charger microcontroller that is operable to receive the battery cell present state of charge measurements from the battery microcontroller. The charger microcontroller is also operable to supply the charging current to the battery pack in pulses, wherein each pulse includes a first time interval where charging current is being supplied to the battery and a second time interval where charging current is being suspended from the battery.

  • Patent number: 6240585
Abstract: Wastewater from a commercial laundry is treated by adding coagulant directly to the wastewater from each load of items washed. The amount of coagulant is administered using a controller. The controller in turn is programmed with an amount of coagulant which should be added based on the type of item being washed. The same controller can be used to inject the detergent into the washing apparatus. Thus the operator of the laundry simply enters the type of item being washed into the controller. This will automatically control both the amount of detergent added to the laundry as well as the amount of coagulant added to the wastewater discharged from the washing apparatus.
