  • Publication number: 20200103010
Abstract: A transmission includes an input shaft coupled to a prime mover, a countershaft, main shaft, and an output shaft, with gears between the countershaft and the main shaft. A shift actuator selectively couples the input shaft to the main shaft by rotatably coupling gears between the countershaft and the main shaft. The shift actuator is mounted on an exterior wall of a housing including the countershaft and the main shaft. An integrated actuator housing is operationally coupled to the shift actuator and a linear clutch actuator. The linear clutch actuator is a self-adjusting actuator, and the transmission includes a self-adjusting clutch.

A shift actuator selectively couples the input shaft to the main shaft by rotatably coupling gears between the countershaft and the main shaft. The shift actuator is mounted on an exterior wall of a housing including the countershaft and the main shaft. An integrated actuator housing includes a single external power access for the shift actuator. A controller interprets controls the shift actuator with actuating and opposing pulses, and interprets a shaft displacement angle, determines if the transmission is in an imminent zero or zero torque region, and performs a transmission operation in response to the transmission in the imminent zero or zero torque region.

  • Patent number: 10524050
Abstract: A pair of earphones have microphone arrays each including a front microphone and a rear microphone. A processor uses a first set of filters to combine the four microphone signals to generate a far-field signal that is more sensitive to sounds originating a short distance away from the earphones than to sounds close to the apparatus, and provides the far-field signal to the speakers for output. The processor also uses a second set of filters to combine the four microphone signals to generate a near-field signal that is more sensitive to voice signals from a person wearing the earphones than to sounds originating away from the earphones, and provides the near-field signal to a communication system.

  • Publication number: 20190347911
Abstract: A system for providing seating guidance for an attraction ride vehicle of an amusement park attraction includes a computing device associated with a display, one or more processors of the computing device, and one or more memory devices of the computing device storing information about the attraction ride vehicle and storing instructions corresponding to a seating application. The seating application, when executed by the one or more processors, causes the computing device to: provide an interface to receive seating input data for a guest or a group of guests, process the seating input data in combination with the information about the attraction ride vehicle based on seating logic to provide guidance data, and outputting guidance, based on the guidance data, for loading the guest or the group of guests onto the attraction ride vehicle via the display.

  • Patent number: 10438414
Abstract: Various methods and systems are provided for authoring and presenting 3D presentations. Generally, an augmented or virtual reality device for each author, presenter and audience member includes 3D presentation software. During authoring mode, one or more authors can use 3D and/or 2D interfaces to generate a 3D presentation that choreographs behaviors of 3D assets into scenes and beats. During presentation mode, the 3D presentation is loaded in each user device, and 3D images of the 3D assets and corresponding asset behaviors are rendered among the user devices in a coordinated manner. As such, one or more presenters can navigate the scenes and beats of the 3D presentation to deliver the 3D presentation to one or more audience members wearing augmented reality headsets.
