  • Patent number: 11932480
Abstract: An equipment security system includes one or more sensors or optical recording devices disposed on or inside a cargo container. A computing device receives data from the one or more sensors or optical recording devices, determines whether an event has occurred at the cargo container, determines a geofence associated with the cargo container, and selects or configures a dynamic script including instructions that specify whether to begin recording an event occurring at or inside the cargo container, whether to record the event in an overwritable, local memory associated with at least one of the one or more sensors or optical recording devices or the computing device, parameters that govern how data associated with the event will be recorded, and whether to upload the data from the local memory to a remote server.

  • Patent number: 8871142
Abstract: Provided are methods for processing a green body that includes compacted metal powder, comprising impacting the green body with a particulate material for a time and under conditions effective to displace a portion of the metal powder from the green body. The present methods can be used to prepare green bodies that have “roughened” surfaces and that can be used to make orthopedic implants displaying low movement relative to bone when installed in situ, which corresponds to higher stability upon implantation and decreases the time required for biological fixation of the implant. Also provided are implants comprising a metallic matrix, and methods comprising surgically installing an implant prepared from a “surface roughened” green body in accordance with the present invention.

  • Publication number: 20110068500
Abstract: Provided are molds comprising a substantially concave portion, and a cap portion that is configured for removable attachment to the substantially concave portion and comprises a mandrel formed from a substantially rigid material, wherein the cap portion and the substantially concave portion, when attached, define an internal space having a three-dimensional shape. Among other benefits, the disclosed devices and methods of using such devices provide more uniform and repeatable compaction than conventional molds, and can be used to produce compacted structures having more dimensionally accurate and repeatable surface features, thereby yielding a better, more optimal near net shaped part.
