  • Patent number: 10972983
Abstract: A method and apparatus may include activating, by a network node, power of a global-positioning-system receiver or power of an active antenna of the global-positioning-system receiver. The apparatus uses the global-positioning-system receiver to perform synchronization of the apparatus. The method may include receiving at least one measurement, wherein the at least one measurement includes real-time, predictive, or historic data. The method may also include determining a holdover duration based on the at least one measurement. The holdover duration corresponds to a length of time where the power of the global-positioning-system receiver or the power of the active antenna is to be turned off. The method may also include deactivating the power of the global-positioning-system receiver or the power of the active antenna for the holdover duration.

  • Patent number: 7694479
Abstract: A three-dimensional constructional element 10 is shown having opposing and substantially planar panels 30, 40 mounted on opposing surfaces of a flexible planar member in the form of a flexible mesh material layer 52 therefore making a composite sheet of three layers. Panel 30 includes transverse grooves 12, 14 formed therein and panel 40 includes transverse grooves 16, 18 formed therein. The structure is deformable about each groove 12, 14, 16, 18. In a preferred embodiment the panels 30, 40 are divided into many segments defined by the transverse grooves to allow the constructional element to be deformed so that one of the exterior surfaces of panel 30 is concave while the opposing exterior surface of panel 40 is convex.

  • Patent number: 6526710
Abstract: A flooring system includes a board (6) having a lower surface (2) in which arcuate grooves (3) are formed. Grooves (3) are arranged in a grid, having points of intersection (5). Each groove (3) extends from one edge of the board to the opposite edge of the board. The grooves serve to enable the passage of electrical wire which might be used for telephones, computers, hi-fi systems or other applications. The system makes such cabling unobtrusive and is particularly suitable where access to an under floor area is limited or non-existent.
