  • Publication number: 20130107584
Abstract: The embodiments herein describe a dynamic metal-oxide-semiconductor field-effect transistor (MOSFET) gate driver system architecture and control scheme. The MOSFET gate driver system dynamically adjusts both the gate driver turn-on-resistance and the gate driver turn-off resistance within a single (i.e., one) switching cycle to reduce electromagnetic interference (EMI) in the system and to minimize the conduction loss of a power MOSFET during operation.

  • Publication number: 20100202165
Abstract: A switching power converter comprises a transformer (110), a switch (108) coupled to the transformer (110), and a switch controller (200) coupled to the switch (108) for generating a switch drive signal (207) to turn on or off the switch (108). The drive current of the switch drive signal (207) is adjusted dynamically according to line or load conditions within a switching cycle and/or over a plurality of switching cycles. The magnitude of the drive current can be dynamically adjusted within a switching cycle and/or over a plurality of switching cycles, in addition to the pulse widths or pulse frequencies of the drive current.

  • Publication number: 20060129070
Abstract: A method, apparatus, system, and article of manufacture provide the ability to utilize fingertip tracking technology during the course of a medical examination. A sensor is mounted on a fingertip of a finger of a first person. Such a sensor is communicatively coupled to a computer to record measurements. The sensor is calibrated using a known target. The finger having the sensor is then engaged to perform a medical examination directly on a second person. Measurements are obtained from the sensor on the fingertip during the medical examination. Data is obtained (e.g., via calculations or interpolation) based on the measurements.

  • Publication number: 20020022973
Abstract: A medical information management system and method that stores and manages patient information and that enables a patient and an authorized third party, such as a friend or family member, to access the patient's medical information. The presentation format, substance of the patient's medical information provided, or both are customized depending on whether the patient, a healthcare professional or the third party is accessing the patient's medical information. The present invention also pertains to a method of subsidizing such a medical information system by selling advertising space in the presentation shown to the third party, patient, or the healthcare professional. The present invention further pertains to a patient interface appliance that includes a display containing multiple viewing fields, one of which is a general information field and one of which is an advertising field, to present information and advertisements to a user during a patient interactive session.
