  • Publication number: 20130066645
Abstract: Methods for processing data including receiving data into a graphical user interface (GUI) composed of a set of N identifiable fields to thereby create a set of N filled identifiable fields and generating M files from the set of N filled identifiable fields. Each of the M files generated is composed of a subset NJ of the set of N filled identifiable fields, where J is an integer that ranges from 1 to M. The fields that are included in each of the subsets NJ are determined based at least on identities of the fields in the set of N filled identifiable fields. At least two of the subsets NJ are not equal. Both N and M are integers greater than 1.

  • Patent number: 8155979
Abstract: Systems and methods for processing textual messages which are integrated with one or more digital attachments is described. These systems and methods are useful in the electronic filing and processing of, for example, image data, and of textual data associated with the image data. One particular application of these systems and methods would be for the electronic filing and processing of dental x-rays with patient claim forms.

  • Publication number: 20110125801
Abstract: A remote access medical image exchange system utilizes a decentralized, i.e., self-organizing, distribution system combined with bid queues to establish a market place which allows for continuously negotiated prices with control (over who reads the images, when they are read and what the fee will be for such a reading) being placed in the hands of the patient/gatekeeper and the diagnostic physician.

  • Patent number: 7657560
Abstract: A system for transmitting, storing, retransmitting and receiving a plurality of electronic medical images, which permits diagnostic readings by physicians during irregularly occurring periods of down time, where each of the electronic medical images contains an indicia, e.g., bid price, of the priority attached to it by a patient, includes first through fourth computer systems.

  • Patent number: 7409632
Abstract: An attachment integrated claims (AIC) system includes an e-mail form (with specific fields that must be filled out) that adjusts itself, in both information required and formatting, to meet the demands of the receiving party. It is particularly advantageous for Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) situations where a user must send similar (but not necessarily identical) messages to several organizations. This is particularly important where, once an e-mail is received by those organizations, the information in the message must be digitally integrated into differing legacy information systems. In other words, the AIC system permits transmission of a dynamic claim form and integrated attachment to an insurance carrier via a non-clearinghouse communications channel. An AIC system including several computers connected via a communications channel, an electronic file, and an operating method therefor are also described.

  • Patent number: 7178020
Abstract: A digital device operatively coupled to a computer network including first and second networked components receives unitary data stream having N fields of data and an associated Nth field label, and distributes the contents of each of the N fields to one of the first and second networked devices in response to the N field labels included in the unitary data stream, where N is a positive integer. A method for operating the digital device is also described.

  • Publication number: 20030233255
Abstract: The present invention provides a patient record including a digital vital patient record (VPR) storing essential predetermined information for a patient, and a hardcopy patient record (HCPR) storing routine information and essential information, wherein the information in the VPR takes precedence over corresponding information in the HCPR. Preferably, the HCPR is stored in a designated storage area, and a printout of the VPR is added to the HCPR each time the HCPR is retrieved from the storage area. Moreover, the HCPR is stored in a designated storage area, and the printout of the VPR corresponds to a request to retrieve the HCPR from the storage area. A method and corresponding software for maintaining the VPR are also described.

  • Patent number: 6480956
Abstract: A combination of first, second, and third storage media storing computer readable instructions permit non-networked computers to cooperate synergistically. Preferably, the first storage medium stores computer readable instructions for permitting a first computer system to receive textual data as field data, to assemble the field data and a corresponding digitized attachment into a first file and to transmit the first file to a second computer system via the Internet, while the second storage medium stores computer readable instructions for permitting the second computer system to receive the first file via the Internet, to display the first file including the digitized attachment on a first window generated by a graphics user interface (GUI) instantiated by the second computer system, to display a second file in a second window, and to transfer the field data to a third computer system operatively connected to the second computer system.

  • Patent number: 6076066
Abstract: An attachment integrated claims (AIC) system is formed by a combination of first, second and third storage media. The first storage medium stores computer readable instructions for permitting a first computer system to receive textual data as field data, where each of the field data is displayed on a predetermined portion of a first screen of the first computer system, to assemble the field data and a corresponding digitized image into a first file having an integrated file format and to transmit the first file to a second computer system via a communications channel. The second storage medium stores computer readable instructions permitting the second computer system to receive the first file via the communications channel, to display the corresponding digitized attachment on a second screen of the second computer system, and to transfer the field data to a third computer operatively connected to the second computer.
