    Abstract: Embodiments of the present application relate to the arrangement of quantum dot optics on architectural windows. An illumination device includes a first conductive layer, a second conductive layer, and a polymer layer disposed between the first conductive layer and the second conductive layer. The polymer layer includes a plurality of quantum dots. The first conductive layer, the polymer layer, and the second conductive layer form a layer stack disposed on a surface of a window pane.
