Publication number: 20250117902Abstract: In various examples, disclosed techniques use a banding detector neural network to identify the locations and sizes of banding artifacts in pixel regions of an input image. The neural network generates a band size map that identifies at least one banding artifact in the input image. The band size map can include a set of predicted band size values, each of which corresponds to a respective pixel of the input image and represents a distance between edges of a banding artifact. The band size map and the input image are provided as input to a stochastic bilateral blur filter, which generates a de-banded image by applying blurring effects to the input image at the band locations indicated by the band size map. An inverse tone mapping operation is then performed to convert the de-banded image to an image that does not have banding artifacts.Type: ApplicationFiled: October 6, 2023Publication date: April 10, 2025Inventors: Donald Lee BRITTAIN, Andrew Ian RUSSELL, Anjul PATNEY, Yinghao XU, Shaveen KUMAR

Patent number: 12267305Abstract: Systems and techniques for privacy preserving document analysis are described that derive insights pertaining to a digital document without communication of the content of the digital document. To do so, the privacy preserving document analysis techniques described herein capture visual or contextual features of the digital document and creates a stamp representation that represents these features without included the content of the digital document. The stamp representation is projected into a stamp embedding space based on a stamp encoding model generated through machine learning techniques capturing feature patterns and interaction in the stamp representations. The stamp encoding model exploits these feature interactions to define similarity of source documents based on location within the stamp embedding space. Accordingly, the techniques described herein can determine a similarity of documents without having access to the documents themselves.Type: GrantFiled: May 15, 2023Date of Patent: April 1, 2025Assignee: Adobe Inc.Inventors: Nikolaos Barmpalios, Ruchi Rajiv Deshpande, Randy Lee Swineford, Nargol Rezvani, Andrew Marc Greene, Shawn Alan Gaither, Michael Kraley

Patent number: 12266159Abstract: A product description generating system dynamically generates a description of an item based on one or more images. The product description generating system includes an attribute machine learning system that receives images of the item and determines at least one attribute value and corresponding prediction confidence value based on the image data. The user review interface provides an interface for reviewing attribute values generated by the attribute machine learning system. If the prediction confidence value is outside a threshold, then the attribute value is reviewed by a user via the user review interface. If, on the other hand, the prediction confidence value is within a threshold, then the attribute value is used to generate the description without user review. The user review interface groups items to be reviewed by taxon and facilitates user review of many items at scale.Type: GrantFiled: July 28, 2022Date of Patent: April 1, 2025Assignee: The RealReal, Inc.Inventors: Hasan Cheema, Christopher Brossman, Matthew Charles Reed, Lucas Micol, Gaston Rodriguez, Agustin Azzinnari, Viknesh Salivahanan, Prasanth Bhaskaran, Terry Lee, Andrew Richard Tompkins
