  • Publication number: 20250060430
Abstract: A sensor assembly comprising single crystal diamond material, the single crystal diamond material comprising a surface which is configured in use to contact a fluid, the surface comprising a sensing surface region, wherein the single crystal diamond material comprises a plurality of quantum spin defects in proximity to the sensing surface region. The sensor assembly further comprises a first electrode and a second electrode. The electrodes are located such that, in use, they generate an electric field proximate to a surface of the sensing surface region, the electric field being sufficient to generate oxidising species in the fluid for removing contaminant material from the sensing surface region.

  • Publication number: 20250052839
Abstract: A sensor device formed of diamond material. The sensor device has a spin defect located in the diamond material, and an electrically conducting region located so as to be interactable with the spin defect. The electrically conducting region extends from an interior location of the diamond material to a surface of the diamond material. The electrically conducting region at the surface of the diamond material is arranged to connect to a detector, the detector configured to detect charge carriers excited from the at least one spin defect via the electrically conducting region. This allows the use of a higher volume of the diamond sensor than would be the case if one were limited to using spin defects close to the surface.

  • Patent number: 12221651
Abstract: A flow-through electrochemical detection system determines if a target nucleic acid polymer is present in a sample. This system contains, at a minimum, an assay reaction chamber that contains a porous working electrode to which target nucleic acid polymer capturing molecules are bound. As a sample passes through the working electrode, any target nucleic acid polymer present in the sample binds to the target nucleic acid polymer capturing molecules. After the sample passes through the flow-through electrochemical detection system, target nucleic acid polymer detectors are placed inside the assay reaction chamber and bind to any target nucleic acid polymer present. The target nucleic acid polymer detectors contain a means for generating an electric current when exposed to a chemical or an enzyme. A potentiostat connected to the working electrode measures the generated current, thereby detecting the presence and quantity of the target nucleic acid polymer in the sample.

  • Publication number: 20250045254
Abstract: A system has a server having an internal data repository, an internal database storing data describing virtual objects, each having a unique SIO code, and an associated body of digital media providing object description by one or more of audio files, text files, photographs, and videos, object history and stories about the virtual objects, a user station with Internet access, a microphone, a display screen, a speaker system, and a coupled local data repository, and a software-enabled interface between the user station and the internal data repository. The user selects an SIO search, the system in response initiates a reactive natural language session with the user through the software-enabled interface, the user speaks queries and commands into the microphone, and the system interprets the queries and commands and endeavors to perform the commands and answer the queries by audio through the speaker system and display on the display screen.

  • Publication number: 20250044422
Abstract: Split-detector lidar photoreceivers are described which utilize range-dependent focus to transition from illuminating two detector elements with returns from near targets, within a close-range threshold distance, to illuminating just one detector element for all other returns. In some examples, a split-detector can have or include a “bullseye” (concentric) detector configuration. Because two separate detector elements with separate amplifier chains are used, one channel can be optimized for the strong to and near-target returns, while another channel can be optimized and used for all other returns.

  • Patent number: 12215202
Abstract: This document describes a process of producing gel microparticles, which are consistent in size and morphology. Through the process of coacervation, large volumes of gel microparticle slurry can be produced by scaling up reactor vessel size. Particles can be repeatedly dehydrated and rehydrated in accordance to their environment, allowing for the storage of particles in a non-solvent such as ethanol. Gel slurries exhibit a Bingham plastic behavior in which the slurry behaves as a solid at shear stresses that are below a critical value. Upon reaching the critical shear stress, the slurry undergoes a rapid decrease in viscosity and behaves as a liquid. The rheological behavior of these slurries can be adjusted by changing the compaction processes such as centrifugation force to alter the yield-stress. The narrower distribution and reduced size of these particles allows for an increase in FRESH printing fidelity.

  • Patent number: 12215935
Abstract: A thermal management system and a method of operating thereof includes a housing body having a first broad surface and an opposing second broad surface and may extend between a first end and a second end. The housing body defines plural passages disposed between the first and second broad surfaces. The plural passages extend in one or more orthogonal directions between the first and second ends of the body. An inlet conduit is fluidly coupled with a first passage of the plural passages via an inlet structure that defines an inlet of the housing body, and directs a fluid into the first passage of the plural passages. An outlet conduit is fluidly coupled with a second passage of the plural passages via an outlet structure that defines an outlet of the housing body, and directs the fluid out of the second passage of the plural passages.

  • Patent number: 12216387
Abstract: Recording indicators for devices with cameras that provide protection from tampering so that the recording indicators cannot be easily disabled or masked. Recording indicators that are external to the camera lens and that emit visible light in an encrypted pattern are described. The device may process captured frames to detect the encrypted pattern; if the encrypted pattern cannot be detected, recording is disabled. In addition, modular accessories are described that the user has to attach to the device to enable recording; the presence of the modular attachment indicates to persons in the environment that they may be being recorded.
