Publication number: 20240143928Abstract: The automated generation of a natural language explanation of what code does. The code is structured to perform tasks because the code itself semantically specifies that those tasks are to be performed. A task-centric representation of the code is automatically generated that includes a task representation of each of some or all of the tasks to be performed as specified by the code. Natural language utterances are then automatically generated by generating a corresponding natural language utterance that semantically describes in natural language the corresponding task represented by the corresponding task representation. Controls are rendered for each natural language utterance that each permit a user to edit the corresponding natural language utterance. After editing, the code itself may be automatically modified or regenerated to reflect the changed natural language utterances.Type: ApplicationFiled: October 28, 2022Publication date: May 2, 2024Inventors: Benjamin Goth ZORN, Carina Suzana NEGREANU, Advait SARKAR, Andrew Donald GORDON, John Herbert Martin WILLIAMS, Xieyang LIU, Neil Blunt TORONTO, Sruti Srinivasa RAGAVAN, Brian Paul SLININGER

Patent number: 11966996Abstract: This invention provides a system and method that performs 3D imaging of a complex object, where image data is likely lost. Available 3D image data, in combination with an absence/loss of image data, allows computation of x, y and z dimensions. Absence/loss of data is assumed to be just another type of image data, and represents the presence of something that has prevented accurate data from being generated in the subject image. Segments of data can be connected to areas of absent data and generate a maximum bounding box. The shadow that this object generates can be represented as negative or missing data, but is not representative of the physical object. The height from the positive data, the object shadow size based on that height, the location in the FOV, and the ray angles that generate the images, are estimated and the object shadow size is removed from the result.Type: GrantFiled: February 10, 2021Date of Patent: April 23, 2024Assignee: Cognex CorporationInventors: Gang Liu, Ben R. Publication number: 20240128737Abstract: A system and method are provided for protecting semiconductor components from thermal failure in an electronic circuit interrupter. The electronic trip unit (ETU) is configured to determine what range of current the detected current signal corresponds to, out of several ranges categorized as being either non-fault/normal, non-severe fault, and severe fault. The ETU then selects a mode of operation in which to operate based on the determined range of current. In modes of operation corresponding to a fault condition, the ETU monitors certain characteristics of the current such as magnitude and/or rate of rise, and if the aforementioned current characteristics exceed a specified threshold for a minimum interval of time, the ETU will trip the electronic interrupter. If, however, the aforementioned current characteristics fall below the specified threshold prior to the minimum interval of time elapsing, the ETU will not trip the electronic interrupter.Type: ApplicationFiled: October 11, 2023Publication date: April 18, 2024Applicant: EATON INTELLIGENT POWER LIMITEDInventors: Jianyang Liu, Andrew A. Patent number: 11960832Abstract: Machine learning, artificial intelligence, and other computer-implemented methods are used to identify various semantically important chunks in documents, automatically label them with appropriate datatypes and semantic roles, and use this enhanced information to assist authors and to support downstream processes. Chunk locations, datatypes, and semantic roles can often be automatically determined from what is here called “context”, to wit, the combination of their formatting, structure, and content; those of adjacent or nearby content; overall patterns of occurrence in a document, and similarities of all these things across documents (mainly but not exclusively among documents in the same document set).Type: GrantFiled: April 20, 2022Date of Patent: April 16, 2024Assignee: Docugami, Inc.Inventors: Andrew Paul Begun, Steven DeRose, Taqi Jaffri, Luis Marti Orosa, Michael B. Publication number: 20240118423Abstract: A projector sequentially generates light pulses to form a sparse grid array. The light pulses reflect off objects in an environment and are reflected towards a sensor array. The sensor array sequentially senses the reflected light pulses across pixels of the sensor array. A depth sensing system calculates depth information of objects in the environment based on the sequential nature of the pulse generation and the pulse sensing. The depth sensing system calculates depth information based on both the positional and temporal information of generated light pulses, and the positional and temporal information of sensed light pulses. The depth sensing system may generate a representation of the environment based on the depth information.Type: ApplicationFiled: October 11, 2023Publication date: April 11, 2024Inventors: Onur Can Akkaya, Song Chen, Xinqiao Liu, Andrew Samuel Berkovich, Tsung-Hsun Tsai, Yi Zheng, Raffaele Capoccia
