Patent number: 12292670Abstract: A camera is configured for use with a removable camera lens cover, which can be secured to or removed from the camera by a user without the use of a tool set. The mechanism which allows the lens cover to be secured to and removed from the camera includes a set of wires embedded into the lens cover and a set of wedges protruding from the lens wall of the camera. To secure the lens cover to the camera, the lens cover is placed onto the front of the camera and rotated until the wires align with corresponding wedges, securing the wires underneath the tapered surface of the wedges. To remove the lens cover from the camera, a force is applied outward and normal to the lens cover, causing the wires to flex outward and enabling the rotation and removal of the lens cover from the camera.Type: GrantFiled: November 7, 2023Date of Patent: May 6, 2025Assignee: GoPro, Inc.Inventors: Way Chet Lim, Andrew Liu, Margaret Birmingham Mittan, Daniel Lee Sobel

Publication number: 20250060252Abstract: Various examples are provided related to hyperspectral imaging of moving microscopic sample elements. In one example, a method for hyperspectral imaging includes acquiring a series of optical images and corresponding hyperspectral data of a sample; compiling a movie comprising a series of frames each including one of the series of optical images and a slit line indicating a location of a slit for acquisition of the hyperspectral data; identifying a frame comprising an element of the sample located on the slit line; and analyzing the hyperspectral data corresponding to the optical image in the identified frame. Each optical image and its corresponding hyperspectral data are acquired simultaneously and identified by a time stamp or sequence number. The analysis can generate hyperspectral information about the element. In another example, a system for hyperspectral imaging includes a hyperspectral imaging device; an optical imaging device; and a computing device.Type: ApplicationFiled: November 21, 2022Publication date: February 20, 2025Inventors: James Melvin Beach, James Lawrence Uertz, Andrew Liu, Byron J. Publication number: 20240378844Abstract: A media application derives a bystander mask from an image by analyzing the image with a bystander segmentation model, wherein the image depicts a bystander and the bystander mask identifies a plurality of first pixels in the image that are associated with the bystander. The media derives a shadow mask for the bystander by analyzing the image with a shadow segmentation model, wherein the image and the bystander mask are provided as input to the shadow segmentation model, and wherein the shadow mask identifies a plurality of second pixels in the image that are associated with a shadow of the bystander. The media application modifies the image to update pixel values of the plurality of first pixels and the plurality of second pixels such that the bystander and the shadow are erased from the image.Type: ApplicationFiled: May 10, 2023Publication date: November 14, 2024Applicant: Google LLCInventors: Lucy YU, Andrew LIU, Orly LIBA

Patent number: 12056134Abstract: The described implementations are operable to determine potential objects of interest to a user based on a blend of the user's long-term behavior and short-term interests. Long term user behavior may be determined for the user over a period of time and represented as continuous data. Short-term interest may be determined based on objects with which the user has recently interacted, and attributes of those objects may be represented together as continuous data corresponding to the short-term user interest. The continuous data of the short-term user interest and long-term user behavior may be blended to produce a user embedding. The user embedding may then be compared with objects to determine objects that are of potential interest to the user.Type: GrantFiled: January 19, 2022Date of Patent: August 6, 2024Assignee: Pinterest, Inc.Inventors: Sonja Sabina Knoll, Vitaliy Kulikov, Cole Timothy Rottweiler, Raymond Hsu, Jiacheng Hong, Zheng Liu, Siyang Xie, Andrew Liu Chen, Chao Wang, Mukund Narasimhan, Lance Alan Riedel
