Abstract: A method for analyzing SCADA projects includes generating a configuration for the SCADA system deployed in a default environment, receiving a first result of a set of tests run on the SCADA system SCADA system using the configuration in the default environment, determining whether the first result of the set of tests is successful, deploying the SCADA system using the configuration in a customer environment, comparing the default environment with the customer environment, determining differences between the default environment and the customer environment, receiving a result of another set of tests run based on the differences between the default environment and the customer environment, adjusting the configuration in the customer environment based on the result of the another set of tests to generate an adjusted configuration, and receiving a second result of the set of tests nm on the SCADA system using the adjusted configuration in the customer environment.

Abstract: A method of acquiring data and performing calculations on the data using a provider service. A provider ticket service (PTS) receives tickets from one or more clients. Each ticket includes a calculation identifier and a payload. The calculation identifier identifies a calculation to be performed using information in the payload. The PTS associates a unique ticket identifier with each ticket. A ticket manager submits a selected ticket from the PTS to a provider host service (PHS), which determines which provider is to perform the calculation identified by the selected ticket by inspecting provider identification information in the selected ticket. The PHS launches a provider host thread (PHT) that invokes the provider determined to perform the calculation identified by the calculation identifier of the selected ticket. The provider performs the calculation and returns its result to the PHS, which passes the result back to the PTS, which returns the result to the requesting client.

Abstract: A system and method for package dimensioning is provided. The package-dimensioning system includes an image capturing subsystem for acquiring information about an object within the image-capturing subsystem's field of view. A features-computation module analyzes object information and compiles a feature set describing the object's surface features. A classification module analyzes the feature set and categorizes the object's shape. A shape-estimation module estimates the dimensions of the object.

Abstract: A power carrier transmits an electrical current to and from a load. The carrier has a set of wires carrying electricity in parallel to the load and another set of wires carrying the electricity back in parallel from the load. The wires are organized with equal numbers of wires form each set grouped around a junction alternatingly, so that as a result the magnetic fields created by the electricity flowing through the two sets of wires cancel each other out in the junction. The carrier may have several junctions in a rectangular matrix pattern or hexagonal close-packed pattern, or other patterns, e.g., octagonal, which may be combined with junctions with different numbers of wires. The resulting power carrier has a reduced external magnetic field.

Abstract: An aqueous composition comprises an amphiphilic block copolymer, having a hydrophilic block comprising pendant zwitterionic groups and a hydrophobic block, and a biologically active compound associated with the polymer. The polymer is preferably in the form of micelles, and preferably the biological active is a hydrophobic drug, for instance having a calculated or experimentally determined logP of at least 1.0, where P is the octanol:water partition coefficient. The hydrophilic block is preferably formed from acrylic monomer including phosphoryicholine groups. Abstract: A device and method for filtering network traffic is provided utilizing multiple filter tables. A first filter table is maintained in the form of a balanced binary tree that is manipulated by two processors in order to filter traffic between network segments. By initially filtering traffic based upon information contained within the balanced binary tree table, the processing and resource load on the system is significantly reduced. Traffic whose source or destination is not contained within the balanced binary tree table is forwarded to a second processor for filtering based upon a second filter table.

The article to be packaged is inserted into and enclosed within a length of tubular sheet, and separated from the remaining length of tubular sheet and the device to form the closed individually packaged article. The packaging device is designed to be portable, convenient, lightweight and easily maintained. A thermoplastic, vapor-impermeable tubular sheet having adhesive on one surface can provide an airtight seal that is especially effective when the device is used to package waste-containing disposable adsorbent articles, such as soiled diapers, for disposal. An apparatus for forming the tubular sheet into a layered pack of pleats having an adhesive material positioned on at least one surface.
