  • Publication number: 20240001022
Abstract: A bioresorbable device for implantation in the body of a patient for administering fluid and/or negative pressure to a treatment site. The device includes a bioresorbable resilient truss for holding two tissue surfaces spaced apart. The truss has two flexible elongate wall members wound in a manner to define a channel, the two elongate wall members intersecting each other periodically at a plurality of cross-over nodes. The truss also includes at least two flexible elongate bracing members, each bracing member being mechanically linked to the two elongate wall members at a plurality of the cross-over nodes.

  • Publication number: 20240000616
Abstract: A device for implantation at a treatment site in the body of a patient for the removal of fluid from the treatment site. The device includes a conduit structure at least in part defining a fluid removal lumen, and a porous bioresorbable sheath surrounding a portion of the conduit structure. The conduit structure comprises a removable component configured for removal from the treatment site upon completion of treatment.

  • Publication number: 20230294786
Abstract: A vehicle includes a frame, a front ground-engaging sphere, a rear ground-engaging sphere, and gripping portions for a rider to hold. The front sphere is rotatable about a first axis which is transverse and fixed relative to the frame and the rear sphere is rotatable about a plurality of axes. The vehicle also includes a support, which is connected pivotally to a rear portion of the frame. The rear sphere is connected to the support for rotation about a second axis which is transverse and fixed relative to the support. The support is pivotal with respect to the frame about a third axis which extends downwardly and longitudinally of the vehicle, such that the support is pivotable through a range of positions including a neutral position wherein the first and second axes are parallel. The vehicle further includes a resilient biasing mechanism configured to resiliently bias the support towards the neutral position.

  • Patent number: 10040502
Abstract: A vehicle (1) comprises a frame (17); a front ground engaging sphere (2) which is rotatable about a first axis which is transverse and fixed relative to the frame (17); a rear ground engaging sphere (3) which is rotatable about a plurality of axes, and gripping portions (11) which are provided towards the front of the vehicle (1), for a rider to hold. A support member (25) is connected pivotally to a rear portion of the frame (17) and projects longitudinally of the vehicle (1) and downwardly from the point of connection to the frame (17) to a remote part of the support member (25). The rear sphere (3) is connected to the remote part of the support member (25) for rotation about a second axis which is transverse and fixed relative to the support member (25). The support member (25) is pivotal with respect to the frame (17) about a third axis which extends downwardly and longitudinally of the vehicle (1).

  • Patent number: 8894082
Abstract: A bicycle having rotatable drive member in the form of a hollow drum (22) with pedals (48, 49). Each pedal is mounted in a foldable manner to a crank arm (24, 25) which in turn is mounted to the drum (22) by a pivoting mechanism (26, 27) allowing the pedals to be moved between an operative configuration in which each pedal projects outwardly from the drum (22), and an inoperative configuration in which each pedal (48, 49) and each crank arm (24, 25) is contained within the interior of the drum (22). The bicycle can thus be used as a training aid without the use of pedals, or in a conventional manner.
