  • Publication number: 20130239123
Abstract: A milestone manager receives a milestone message from a first application. The milestone message includes information associated with a periodic event. The milestone manager applies a rule based process on the milestone message information and sends a trigger to a second application in response to the milestone. The trigger initiates processing of the second application in response to the milestone.

  • Publication number: 20070124361
Abstract: An apparatus, system and method includes an action manager to receive a manual action selected by a user and an action console coupled to the action manager to present via the action console a user interface specific to the manual action selected by the user. The apparatus, system and method display a directory having one or more manual actions to a user, receives a selection identifying a manual action from the user; and submits the identified manual action to an automated workflow process to execute the identified manual action.

  • Publication number: 20070072242
Abstract: The invention provides haptens, immunogens comprising such haptens coupled to an antigenicity-conferring carrier material, conjugates comprising such haptens bonded to a labelling agent as well as, antibodies raised against such immunogens and capable of binding with leucomalachite green and malachite green.

  • Publication number: 20060223132
Abstract: The present invention relates to a method for preparing haptens of formulae I and II that are useful in the preparation of immunogens, antibodies and conjugates, for use in competitive immunoassays for the detection of ractopamine, isoxsuprine and ritodrine. The haptens are prepared by reacting a phenylethanolamine derivative of formula D with a phenylalkylcarbonyl derivative of formula E: in which, in formula I, Z1 is a crosslinker and Z2 is H and, in formula II, Z1 is H and Z2 is a crosslinker.

  • Patent number: 6067519
Abstract: Portions of spoon waveform are joined by forming extrapolations at the end of one and the beginning of the next portion to create an overlap region with synchronous pitchmarks, and then forming a weighted sum across the overlap to provide a smooth transition.

  • Patent number: 5978764
Abstract: Portions of recorded speech waveform (e.g., corresponding to phonemes) are combined to synthesize words. In order to provide a smoother delivery, each voiced portion of a waveform portion has its amplitude adjusted to a predetermined reference level. The scaling factor used is varied gradually over a transition region between such portions and between voiced and unvoiced portions.

  • Patent number: 5852802
Abstract: A speech engine for producing synthetic speech from an input in convention orthography. The speech engine analyses the input data into small elements which are used to produce the synthetic speech. The analysis is carried out with the aid of a skeletal database 11 and a plurality of symbolic processor 12-16 each of which is adapted to preform one linguistic task. Each processor 13-16 obtains its data from the database 11 (processor 12 obtains its data from an input buffer 10). Each processor returns its results to the database 11. The database 11 is organised in accordance with the linguistic structures so that the results and intermediate results are not only stored but the linguistic relationships are also available. Preferably the database 11 is formed of a plurality of storage modules (1/1-5/7) each of which has an address. Each module has a register 100 which holds an item of data being either an intermediary or final result.

  • Patent number: 5787398
Abstract: The pitch of synthesized speech signals is varied by separating the speech signals into a spectral component and an excitation component. The latter is multiplied by a series of overlapping window functions synchronous, in the case of voiced speech, with pitch timing mark information corresponding at least approximately to instants of vocal excitation, to separate it into windowed speech segments which are added together again after the application of a controllable time-shift. The spectral and excitation components are then recombined. The multiplication employs at least two windows per pitch period, each having a duration of less than one pitch period. Alternatively each window has a duration of less than twice the pitch period between timing marks and is asymmetric about the timing mark.
