  • Publication number: 20240123891
Abstract: A hoist system may be used to raise and mount an interchangeable vehicle body onto a vehicle chassis. The hoist system may include a hoist frame having a roller, a subframe, a pivotal connection between the hoist frame and the subframe, a hinge joint member interconnected between the hoist frame and the subframe and a winch assembly connected to the hoist system. The subframe may have a bolt-on assembly for selectively, fixedly connecting the subframe to the vehicle chassis and the winch assembly may be selectively operable to raise the interchangeable body onto the hoist frame as the interchangeable body engages the roller.

  • Patent number: 11528953
Abstract: A helmet mounted display is embedded in a visor assembly. The visor assembly comprises two molded sections that define portions for receiving waveguides. The optical components are disposed in a portion of the visor assembly and the entire assembly is attached by a hinge to the helmet. The visor assembly includes lateral clips to secure the visor assembly to the helmet, and a night-vision goggle attachment point.

  • Patent number: 11036453
Abstract: A device and method for presentation of bezel embedded head tracking fiducials within an aircraft cockpit incorporates two and three-dimensional fiducial markers within a bezel of a forward display. Oriented in a constellation within a constant field of view of the pilot, the fiducials are specifically configured for continuous recognition by an optical sensor associated with a head worn display (HWD). With continuous constellation recognition, the HWD identifies the bezel embedded fiducials and determines a high integrity pose solution of a head reference frame relative to the aircraft enabling the system to present a high integrity primary flight display to the pilot without requiring an additional flight display available. Using active backlit short-wave infrared (SWIR) lighting and/or passively coated with reflective material specifically tuned to the night vision systems available to the HWD sensor, the bezel embedded fiducials allow operation of the HWD systems in any illumination environment.

  • Patent number: 10874164
Abstract: A dynamically tinted display visor (DTDV) is disclosed. In embodiments, the DTDV includes a visor surface having an untinted or substantially transparent setting and a tinted or substantially opaque setting. The visor surface is fixed to a helmet worn by an operator (e.g., a pilot or co-pilot), the helmet further including a head tracking system for monitoring the head pose (e.g., head position and orientation) of the operator. Helmet-mounted cameras include auto-gain sensors capable of assessing ambient light levels consistent with the head pose of the operator. The DTDV includes a tint processor for adjusting the tint setting of the visor surface based on an assessment of the head pose data and sensed ambient light levels, automatically detinting or darkening the visor as conditions demand or manually detinting/darkening at the operator's command.
